As you can see, I’ve put this thing to the test and it did not disappoint. I’ve done multiple projects from wheel hubs, control arms, tie rods, simple brake jobs, flat tire change outs it has definitely made those jobs a lot easier. I bought this to use at work in a basically heavy industrial environment, it lasted 2 days from getting debris in the brushes. So, a long as your NOT going to use this heavy it'll do fine. For a home or an auto mechanic it would be great. The price on the other hand is awesome, at under $90 with the battery and charger it is well worth it. I have the whole Ryobi One+ line, the 3/8 impact, the drill, the grinder, and air compressor. They are great tools just don't get them in the dirt and they will serve you many years. ... show more

    • It removes lug nuts
I had bought a weaker Chinese knock off impact drill, that worked off my Makita battery, but it just didn't have the umpf to break my lug nuts loose or tighten them past about 80 ft/lb of torque. My vehicle requires 100 ft/lbs. I charged the battery for a couple hours until no more lights shown on the charger. Popped a lug nut cover off, put the 17 mm socket on and this took no time at all to break the lug bolt loose. As an experiment, to check torque upon install, I ran it tight & then some, then checked with my click type torque wrench set on 110 ft./lbs, and that was where it tightened to. A bit more than the 100 required, but enough to know if I change this pup on the road, the bolts will be adequately torqued to continue my drive. I also am buying the P737D inflator as my Audi has some weird spare tire in it that requres 50 lbs of air to properly be inflated. The car comes with a factory inflator in the trunk area but that thing is really weak, so I am going to carry this thing when I travel, along with the drill. Now if I could only find a pump jack with a collapsible handle so I could carry that as well. ... show more

I had purchased an "off brand" cordless impact wrench that was advertised with sufficient torque for my application but it just stalled out when trying to remove lug nuts from my Ram Promaster. This one from Ryobi is heavier, stouter, the battery charging system is better, and best of all, it works. Clearly worth the extra $20 I paid for it. I had to purchase an impact socket set (make sure you get impact rated sockets) for another $40, but it is worth it to have quality tools. ... show more

I absolutely love this impact gun. I have been using it for two years and it has done everything one could ask. No it is not the latest version or the high end brushless version but for a home shop I honestly don't think you can beat it.
