Good fitting shoe for my wide toe foot. Had to find new option when New Balance quit making style I wore for years. These were a good choice. Only complaint I have is the insole attachment. I need to remove insole to install my prescription orthotics. While attached with only one dime size spot of glue, this was the stickiest, hardest to remove glue I have ever encountered! Took me an hour to clean up one pair of shoes. I rotate the orthotics to other shoes, so don't want them to get permanently attached to the shoe. Years ago at a local shoe store, I bought my first pair of Rykas. I wore those for prob a good 10 years. I couldn’t find a good match to them. A few years ago,I bought a second pair, but didn’t love them. I wore them, but mehh. So I switched to Sauccony. I love that brand. But they’re running and trail shoes. Not a “walking” shoe. I am not a runner. I love walking long distances on both dirt and paved trails. I have been having substantial knee issues this past year. Walking on dirt or paved trails and hiking are a challenge. I decided for everyday paved trail and sidewalk use to try Ryka again. I’ve had some issues with swelling in my feet due to a bad kidney, so decided to get a wide for those days. Normally I want narrow shoes. Today I finally tried these on and took my dog for a walk. Sadly I don’t love them and I really want to. Pros : affordable, came in a variety of colors, shipped quickly. If you like a memory foam, they have that. Cons: the shoelaces aren’t long enough. The top holes, if you need a wider fit day, can’t have the lace in them. It leaves an open gap at the ankle. I think this can be remedied with another pair of shoelaces, so will buy some. The toes are a tight fit on the pinky toe side. My feet are narrow it’s my ankles that will swell. So I found it odd that the toes were tight and rub in a wide shoe. The inner part of my foot by the arch also rubs. The foam is comfy but not wide enough. It’s odd. These are in no way a wide shoe. Sitting next to 3 pairs of medium width Saucconys and they’re all about the same. I never buy wide shoes because they swim on me. But this pair I wanted a wide shoe for walking and it’s a miss for me. I am going to keep them. I’m hoping after a broken in period they’ll feel more like that first pair I had so many years ago. I have re-purchased this item numerous times. I work 12 hour shifts in a crazy busy Emergency Department. My feet are never a source of discomfort in these shoes. I walk OUT of work feeling, "My feet are so comfortable". I have noticed with the last two pairs that the insole comes loose when I take my shoes off; but I must confess that I don't untie them first. Buy them with confidence. ... show more

I ordered a half size up and also a wide that I don't normally order because reviews said they were small. These changes made them fit great. I have foot problems so I use shoe inserts. The shoes were not too tight after putting the inserts in. I will update if I have a problem later. So far so good! ... show more

Just soooo comforting. Love the fit.. Put them on right away. Long walk. Toes were not tight and had enough room in the front. I am sooo happy because I do aerobics and take long walks, so comfort is my number one concern. Thank you.
