  • Static? What Static?
Size: 7 Inches Color: Dodge Ram
Let's get right to the point. You bought a truck, you're getting ready to drive around like a Viking exploring the sea, and you take a glance to your left and bam a 3 ft floppy metal pool bouncing around all over the place is staring you in the face. You try to ignore it, but every at every car wash, every tree you closely pass by, and every windy day you get reminded of the engineering flaw ruining the vibe of your truck. So what is your solution? Click buy now wait 2 days unscrew the old one off, screw the new one on, and bam! Literally under 2 minutes problem solved. Let's talk about performance. I live about 45 minutes outside of the Phoenix metro area and get every station and even the HD stations just fine. I can drive out to our mountain areas and the range difference I tested was about 2.5 miles from when I kept the manufacture one compared to this one. Now for some of you that 2.5 miles make a huge difference if you are already on the skirts from broadcast locations but for others, it will be just fine. At the end of the day besides some local sports radio all my music is streamed but even if I do kick on some radio stations I would not be able to tell the difference between the two. Also, with the 7in antenna, I go through the car wash at least once a week, and never had any issues. ... show more

  • Buy This
Size: 7 Inches Color: Chevy Silverado
It works, and it works well. Install took all of sixty seconds, and that was with using a crescent wrench to remove my stock antenna. Absolutely no loss of signal, there is no discernible difference between stock and either size stubby. Took the truck way out in the middle of the National Forest and still had great reception, maybe even a little better than with the stock unit. I am absolutely 100% satisfied with my purchase. As far as the size goes, I suppose it just depends on the look you’re after. I attached pictures of both sizes and the stock antenna for comparison. If you’re on the fence about making the switch, just do it! You’ll be glad you did. ... show more

  • No loss in reception
Size: 7 Inches Color: Ford F150
2 Year Update: Just a quick update after two years on my truck. The antenna continues to function as well as when I first put it on. It has proven completely durable sitting outside 24x7 through the Minnesota winters, and the few days leading up to winter. (My truck lost its garage slot early in its life due to an accumulation of too much junk.) I do give the antenna one pass on testing its durability... I only run the truck through touchless car washes. I would still recommend this antenna without hesitation. Original Review: I'm happy to report that I'm falling into the camp of those that are not noticing any degradation in radio reception. Both the FM and AM stations that came in on the factory antenna of my 2019 F150 are still there. And they sound every bit as clear as they did before. The only thing that I'm not hearing with this antenna is the sound of the antenna scraping across garage doors and parking ramp gerters. I like not hearing that. ... show more

  • So nice, someone stole it!
Size: 7 Inches Color: Ford F150
I bought this antenna because my factory antenna was too tall for my garage door. No problems at the carwash. No wind noise. Haven't noticed any reduction in reception. I listen to streaming service most of the time, so the antenna is mostly for looks anyway. I really like this antenna. Someone else liked it too. They liked it so much; they stole it! We'll, they ain't stealing the replacement because I super glued it! ... show more

  • Signal issues
Size: 7 Inches Color: Jeep Wrangler
I loved the look of this antenna, and the fact that its stiff so it wouldn't flap in the wind at high speeds. The quality of the antenna was great! But I wish the quality of the reception was just as good. I knew going with a shorter antenna MIGHT give me reception issues but I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, and failed. Don't get me wrong, some stations sound great and had no issues, but it's just the fact that ALL stations didn't work. I may keep it just to have variety or just sell it. I ended up going with a 13in rugged ridge antenna which is similar in price, and I haven't had any reception issues with it. Mind you I do live in Phx, AZ so I'm not sure how either ones would perform in smaller towns and such. ... show more

  • NO LOSS OF RECEPTION TO REPORT!!
Size: 7 Inches Color: Ford F150
A very small percentage of individuals have reporting loosing some reception. I can say as someone who listens to AM often, the signal seems the same or might even be better slightly over the factory whip. I live in PA, north of Pittsburgh and commute to the city for work. Where I live the AM signal was weak, now it seems slightly better with this. As I get closer to the city the signal gets better. My FM, XM signals have not changed at all. Quality product that makes fitting my Raptor into smaller garages easier because I don't have to worry about the antenna hitting anymore. ... show more

  • No worries about ripping off when going through car wash

  • Looks great on my 2017 RAM
Size: 7 Inches Color: Dodge Ram
When I bought my 2017 RAM a few weeks ago, I couldn't believe that they still have an old-school metal antenna mast on the fender. Most new cars have them built in to the GPS until on top of the roof. Had to get rid of it. This little antenna is great....almost 5 stars, but I'll need to drop one star for this reason: I live about 30 miles outside of Columbus, Ohio, and I did notice a little loss of Radio signal. With the old antenna, I would get all of the HD radio stations just fine, but they did flicker in and out from time to time. With this antenna, it's seems to be "slightly" worse...they go in and out a little bit more often from HD to regular signal. Not a huge deal for me since I usually listen to SIRIUS-XM or Pandora from Bluetooth. If you live within 20 or so miles from a big city, I don't see it being a problem. Super easy to install---took maybe 2 minutes. You'll probably need a wrench to get the old antenna off, but I just hand tightened the new one---it's not going anywhere, and I am confident that it will fine in the car wash without removing it. ... show more
