Works fine but is very noisy. If you want to save a few bucks this will do the trick. It works very well. I do, however, prefer the factory compressor.

    • Received a spray painted mess
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this time I think it is VERY well deserved. I ordered this part because it was marked as “refurbished”, but what I received was so far from that. The part I received was nothing less than a spray painted pile of crap. This company’s idea of refurbishing is to take a used part and spray paint it (terrible paint job at that). The clutch was not replaced. The bearings were not replaced. As far as I can tell NOTHING was refurbished on the part I received. The spray paint job was horrendous. Everything was painted including the electrical plug. On top of that the crappy spray paint job was all scratched. There was grease all over. Literally not one thing on this part was acceptable. I don’t mind ordering used parts as long as it is listed as such (and priced accordingly). I don’t expect a “refurbished” part to look brand new, but this one was beyond even “used” condition. Maybe this USED part is working, but I won’t take the time to even install it on my vehicle as I would need to spend quite a bit of time scrapping the paint off the electrical plug for it to even work. ... show more

(7/10/2020) I got my refurbished compressor neatly packed with helpful instructions for installation. Had my mechanic install it into my '05 Nissan Xterra and it fit like a glove. Charged the A/C and it blows ice cold! Hopefully she keeps running this way, will update if anything changes. (7/31/2021) No changes, still blowing ice cold A/C to this day. I am very happy I purchased this compressor! (9/11/2022) Still works like new. I have nothing but good things to say about this compressor. I ordered this compressor and finally got around to installing it for a variety of reason. FOUR DAYS afeter the unit was installed and the system evac'd and recharged I get NO A/C. Itake to to an ASE certified shop (same one who evc'd n recharged. The compressor is bad. FOUR DAYS and it went bad. DUE TO MY DELAY IN INSTALLING IT I CANNOT RETURN IT.
