I took a chance on these RYB HOME 36 inch Long Half Window Tiers/Curtains because with the rising price of fuel we needed more energy efficient curtains on our windows. All we had in our kitchen was some blinds and they were/are not energy efficient or thermal. While these are not lined they are pretty thick and the dark color blue I ordered is both room darkening and UV filtering. i’m so happy with these curtains because they really block out everything. they insulate our studio apartment really well. when we first moved in, there were only some blinds and those don’t really block out much sun or light very well at all. once we put up the curtains it was a game changer. it stays very dark in here throughout the night & even from outside you can’t see in at all. it’s amazing how well they work. also, the quality of the material is really nice & soft. it’s the perfect length for my windows too. i definitely would repurchase if anything happened to these. ... show more

I really needed some 'blackout' curtains that extend all the way to the floor, and these are very white, which of course makes the room look bigger (and matches my mostly white and off-white furniture). They are very sturdy and have a ever-so-slighty 'silk' feel to them. Also, they are white on the side that faces the street, which I needed because I use white blinds on all the other windows that face the street and wanted a uniform look. They were the color i was expecting when purchasing, and are very soft and look high quality. When they first arrive they are wrinkly from their packaging which makes them a bit cheap but after some time with a steamer they were completely transformed. The color looks great in my living room and they do a good job blocking out light. I definitely recommend these if you’re willing to take time to steam out the wrinkles. ... show more
