Very pleased with these steps. I had 2 brothers from Church to put them together. I am a 66 yr old woman in good shape/health, but I needed them done quickly and accurately...sooo these 2 guys, the elder one in construction, put them together quickly and moved the old wooden steps which were quickly falling apart after 34 yrs out of the way for me as well! The old set only had 1 rail and my husband has only one arm. He had fallen off the old steps a couple times over the years, due to balance issues and no railing on the one side to catch him. This unit is metal, so it won't rot away like the wooden set did, has 2 railings and is exactly the perfect height. The trailer is for storage and 2 dogs are crated in the trailer during bad weather/nighttime' RE: the rubber / carpet style non slip toppers for the steps were too narrow for my liking, so I did buy wider ones and only used one of the included set on the top step next to the new ones I bought. The dogs must go up/down several times/day on hot metal or ice cold metal, so I needed wider strips of stick on / non slip carpet. As for the stairs/steps....everything I wanted and it has been sturdy for several months of use now. Eventually I will need to buy a second set for the other door to the trailer and I will buy these again if available!

This 4-step stair unit worked out well, as a finished product, for providing easy access to an area of crawl space within our basement. HOWEVER, the assembly instruction manual was the ABSOLUTE WORST! Not all of the parts were numbered, therefore it made it very difficult to figure out which parts they were referring to during the assembly process. Likewise, the assembly instruction manual had multiple ERRORS within it, and erroneously instructed you to assemble the product using the wrong part numbers in many steps of the assembly process. I am not sure who this company had create their instruction manual for the assembly of this product, but that person obviously did notk now what they were doing, and obviously they did not care either. Likewise, it is obvious that no one else from the company proof-read and critiqued the assembly instruction manual, since they would have easily recognized that the steps within the assembly instruction manual were HIGHLY INACCURATE AND ERRONEOUS.

Would have been nice if they labeled all of the parts with stickers which made it more difficult to assemble. When building it, you are best to layout the parts and take your best guess at which one is which due to size. Use the photos to compare the slight differences in each part. That said, dont over tighten the bolts until the end just in case you make a mistake. Once assembled correctly, it works great and certainly affordable at the price.

The parts for these steps are NOT numbered. Their is only fuzzy pictures / numbers. No directions at all. The part that goes on the bottom ( I think ) does not have matching holes as shown in picture! It is horrible! Am returning !

I love the stairs, once we figured out that the main piece of the stairs was in 6 pieces not 2 like the instructions said and no nuts or bolts included to put the base together. Next we had pictures to figure out want part was want. Almost all the stair parts were “L” shaped except the railing pieces and steps themselves. On the instructions it does not give any measurements of any piece, yes a number 1 to 24 was on the paper but no numbers were not on the parts. On the pictures you could not tell where or if the part had any wholes, the little parts looked bigger than the bigger parts. Oh was it fun to put it together, NOT. PLEASE fix the instructions and for now warn anyone that can not put IKEA furniture together Do Not try to put these stairs together.

The instructions are not complete. It was still fairly easy but it took about 3 hours. (Did it by myself) Attaching the handrails was a little challenging since I had to remove the short screws and replace them with the long screws in several locations to make it work right and to have enough short screws to complete assembly. Labeling the part numbers was great and essential. No instructions for the smallest screws used in handrail assembly but I figured that part out. Feels very sturdy and safe. I only gave 4 stars because of the flaws in the instructions but otherwise am very happy with it. All tools are included. In case you didn't know already, don't tighten any of the bolts until they are all in place. Otherwise some of the bolts can be challenging to get into the nuts.
