It's much better because the steps are wide and the handrail is useful. I actually bought this to put on the deck of my toy hauler when it’s up in the air. To buy an RV stairs is crazy money. This is working well. Because the stair angle is adjustable, I was able to get them at just the right angle for the height of the deck on my toy hauler. The railings are also great, and I can remove them and fold the stairs flatter so that it fits in the bottom of my camper. Although the assembly was a little difficult. The instructions weren’t as thorough as in needed to be. But there weren’t many pieces that needed to be put together either so I was able to figure it out. Once assembled, the ladder is very sturdy and easy to use! I purchased an upper bunk for my 14 year old son‘s room and the ladder is straight up and down on the end of the bunk that is difficult to use. This ladder purchase was to make it easier to maneuver up and down on that upper bunk for teens or even someone adult size. Once the ladder was set up on the end, my son wants to sleep up there every night and has for the last month! I’m very happy with my purchase😄 ... show more
