It takes a min to get used to when going from a tube tire to this . I had a flat and found this tire and installed it myself ,which took a hot minute. Just need to boil the tires for about an hour to get it soft enough to go on the rear hub .

This is a pair of non-pneumatic tires for several brands of scooters (see product description) . The tires come with two small tire irons and installation instructions. I have not tried installing these yet but they seem well made. I anticipate installation will be a bit difficult, but am hoping these will make a big improvement for my son’s scooter. This solid replacement tire perfectly fit my Segway Ninebot Max G30P. The pair arrived loose in a box with no instructions or the expected tire levers. I did not separately order levers because they were supposed to be sent in this package. The tire itself weighs about 2 ½ pounds and has 10 x 2.5 stamped on the side. There is a very tiny tire rotation direction arrow on one side only which is easy to miss. There are some excellent videos online which tell you exactly how to replace a tire like this. I found it to be a true ordeal and not something to take on lightly, but I have no Segway service centers within a reasonable distance, so I had no choice but to replace the damaged tire myself. The videos and online description suggest heating the tire, which I did, and I don't believe I would have been able to install it without this step. I also used dish soap on the tire, rim, and the screwdrivers I used to slide the tire into place. I recommend purchasing the tire irons because I broke one screwdriver and scratched the rim with another. I think it would have been much easier with the proper tools and installation really requires 3 irons. Once installed, I find the tire to be very good. It is taking a little bit of getting used to because the scooter came with pneumatic tires which provide a bit more cushioning on bumps. But the trade-off is worth it because my pneumatic tire suffered an un-repairable puncture while several miles from home. I intended to replace both front and back tires, but since it was so difficult to install, I am going to wait until and if I have to replace the front tire. I am not noticing a loss of battery capacity due to it being a solid tire, and seem to actually have slightly better pickup when going up hills. If you have the time, a helper, and proper tools, this tire is a good replacement.

My son and I put this on my scooter and wow it was a project not for the easily discouraged. Heating up the tire eventually did the trick but even then it's a lot of work. Take your time and let the tires soak. The tire rides pretty smooth I have to admit it surprised me for being a rigid tire. Haven't noticed any difference with battery or acceleration. I'm much more confident I won't be stuck somewhere with a flat and have to call someone to pick me up and that piece of mind was worth the effort to put these on.

Prepare yourself and whoever you get to help you for a battle that will ensue when you install these on your scooter. It's not for the faint of heart but it is doable and once you've gotten these installed you will be thankful to never have to worry about flats again. They are a little rigid if your scooter doesn't have any suspension, but I didn't notice too much of a difference bcuz my scooter has front suspension. I find that they're a little faster as well, overall. Yes, they're a little more bumpy but not enough to justify the difficulty and annoyance of repairing flats and installing the tubeless tires. This is a much better way of getting around, from a cost standpoint and a worry free standpoint as well. Just be sure to have a friend to help you with the install, it makes everything easier and cuts the install time in half.

You have to put in boiling water for a little bit to soften up the rubber and then I was able to use the 2 tire levers included but would recommend getting a third or using something else. I was able to do it by myself without a vice. It is very difficult but possible.

We have a Blutron scooter with 10 inch wheels so ordered these as a replacement for the back wheel. The wheel works great and I love that we will never have to replace it again. The install was a nightmare. It took my husband and son a good hour of fighting with this thing to get it over the rim. At the end, they were both beaten, and the rim was cracked. We tried everything from heating it on a boiling stove to soap to stretching it with tools, but there is no getting around how hard it is to get this tire on the rim. If you can get through all of that, it’s durable and will last the length of the scooter .
