  • Miracle Worker
Thus is a miracle worker. I got rust off some older iron ware and am thrilled to be using it again. It is like literally using an eraser and is very comfortable to use on my cookware. I am going after the antiques next.

  • Rust eraser works miracles!
It WORKS! I bought this after my husband (who was trying so hard to be helpful) washed my pans, but didn't dry them properly. I was skeptical because I know how difficult it can be to tackle rust on cast iron but this eraser works miracles! I've included pictures of the worst pan I had showing how it began, during and the ending. It only took a few minutes of my time. For $10 this was worth it! ... show more

  • Erases Rust. No, REALLY!
We had a Lodge reversible grill/griddle used once with only the factory seasoning that did not get cleaned/dried properly and was rusted in every crevice, particularly on the ridged grill side. It sat this way for years because I just didn't want to deal with it. The time however had come. My son gave me a new set of cast iron pans that I planned to season properly, so it was time to tackle the griddle plate. With a reasonable $10 I bought this eraser stick in hopes of minimizing what I knew was going to be an annoying time wasting process. I embarked on the task and had this bizarre feeling overcome me. It was working and it was fun. Yeah, FUN. I felt I was back in 1st grade or something, erasing away the rust as I had done with those pink erasers back in the day. It is the exact same process. IT WAS AWESOME. It still took some time. There were all these wee crevices and so much rust. What worked best was to cut off smaller chunks of the eraser to better get into those little grooves. I just took a utility knife and cut it to size. If only I had taken a before picture of the grill plate, but as you can see from the after seasoning picture, it was completely effective at rust removal and only ended up using about 1/4 or less of the eraser. ... show more

  • Witchcraft
I don't know why this works. I don't. It feels like rubber and I'm seeing little specs of metal mixed within it, but...IT WORKS. BUY THIS NOW. I had a 14 inch cast iron pan that my mother accidentally ruined years ago (read: like 5ish years) and I was about to throw it away during a new year clean out, but then I decided to "fix it" as a hobby. I tried the potato and salt method, soaking in vinegar, scrubbing with a steel wool and dish detergent and salt and....just, so many different methods and practices. So many. They would helped a little, but there was still rust, over and over and over. So I thought, as a last ditch effort, to pick this up. It was inexpensive and by a reputable brand that is incredibly well known. If I were to purchase another cast iron pan, I could use it for that if I needed to. I started scrubbing the edges and interior of my pan and...it was working. It was removing the rust that I had consistently been unable to remove by the tons of other methods. I didn't require a cleaner (at least not initially), or salt, or vinegar. Just the power of this bar and a small bit of elbow grease. After I shook out the rust dust, I washed it with a little bit of Dawn and a sponge with a nylon scrubber on one of the sides. I then seasoned it (450F for 60 minutes, then just turn the oven off and let the pan cool down in there). It is perfect. There's still some discoloration, BUT the rust is GONE. VANISHED. ELIMINATED. This is pure Witchcraft, no other excuse. lol ... show more

  • WORKS
This little eraser really works on rusted cast iron. Would highly recommend this product. Worked wonders on my Lodge Cast Iron Skillet, should have taken a before & after picture. Was ease to use.

  • Work but doesn’t work Miracles
I tried this out as soon as I got it. I searched. YouTube for video demos and found one. I followed his directions and found it works best on very light rust (called ‘flash rust’) and not so well on moderately or heavily rusted surfaces. It’s similar to an eraser in that it leaves behind gritty stuff you’ll need to sipe out before using the pan. I dumped out what I could and wiped out the rest with a paper towel with avocado oil on it. After I got it all out, I heated the pan to try to re-season it and it was nicely black again. This product is most suited to small projects without a lot of surface area. It takes a little elbow grease but it’s not hard to use. It wears down pretty quickly with use so you’ll want to do small areas at a time. ... show more

  • Works Great!
Saved my cast iron pan. The pan was pretty rusty and I needed something to fix it. This did the trick. After using this product and seasoning the pan again it’s like new.
