Bought this for our 5-year-old's birthday present. He's currently heavy into super-heroes. He loves it! The drawn on muscle detail is amazing!! (Yes, I knew it was drawn on muscles and not the padded ones. Typically, the padded ones are much too bulky for my tiny dude.) He's a little guy so pretty much every costume for his age is too big. However, this costume came with a belt so I can pull up the legs without having to do any tailoring, and he'll be able to play in it for at least another year. Costume worked out great. My son has quite a little belly on him, and this fit alright. We have a hard time finding things to fit him. I liked how it had the muscle look without the formed pads which tend to be more uncomfortable. The cape was also more comfortable on this costume as it attached at the shoulders instead of coming around the neck. I bought this Rubies DC Universe Superman Costume for my 4 year old grandson and it fit perfect! I wanted my grandson to be Superman this Halloween and we all know Superman is always a popular choice when it comes to things like Halloween. This costume is well made and I feel like it was fairly priced. My grandson loved this and now uses it for "dress up". I just wish he could wear it longer but when he outgrows this, I may come back for another.     • Sizing a little off!
I have to say I think the proportions of this costume are a little off. We bought a Large because my experiences with costumes are they run pretty small and my son wears a size 8 pant and 10/12 shirt. The torso part fit pretty decent. There was maybe a 1/2 inch hang in the middle that cinched up really well with the belt added. Now the odd part was the arms and legs. The sleeves were super long! And the legs were pretty long as well. I expected the pants part but the sleeves just left me baffled because even my son who wears 14/16 shirts would have had to push them up a bit. Super cute and grandson loved. I had no way of knowing exactly what size to order because it is in SM MED LG instead of what you see in stores (3/4, 5/6, 7/8). Was buying for a gift for grandson. Needless to say, I ordered a bigger size than what I should have. He will get year and year and years.

My son LOVES his superman costume!!! It's holding up really really well. He's 5 and has worn it to 2 things so far and we've had no issues. I don't think he's wearing the belt in this picture that it came with, but we put it on after I took this. It's a really cute costume and fits well over his clothes so that he can be warm when it's cold. I would definitely purchase this again! ... show more
