    • Cheap, but Good Colors - Workable
If you are a small woman or man or have 10-12 year old boy, this is a fun costume. It's not worth more than 20 clams, but if you are willing to shell that out and work with it a little it's a good deal. I purchased this for myself to use as part of a Willy Wonka costume. I'm 5'2", 122 lbs, and fit a size 4/XS in women's clothing. Being a small person, it's very difficult for me to find adult-sized costumes (especially ones that are unisex or men sizes) that don't make it look like a kid who raided my parents' closet so I decided to try the boy's Large. It's not bad as far as the colors and design, but it's cheap fabricโ€”exactly what you would expect for the price. The "shirt" is really just a piece of fabric that ties behind your back under the "jacket." The jacket's collar velcros around the neck. The neckhole is surprisingly narrow. I have a 12" neck, and I'm considering altering it a little. The shirt part of the costume is a bit short on me. I will wear a shirt under and I may just safety pin the bottom of the jacket closed (it looks very nice that way). The "jacket" part fits *perfectly*. It's a little wide but not ridiculously so, and the length is just right on me. The hat wasn't terrible (it fit snugly and was surprisingly thick), but the brim was bent all over the place. I'm getting a different one to replace it. The bow tie and jacket need a serious ironing. I may need to use some clothing tape to keep the bow-tie in place. All the faults aside, it does look good. When I team it up with a good wig and my husband's cane, it'll rock! ... show more

This was a fantastic costume! My boys wanted to be Wonka and an Oompa Loompa for Halloween, and they received SO MANY compliments while they were trick or treating, they felt like celebrities. They even got extra candy for being these two characters! The Willy Wonka costume is great quality, very well made, and fits exceptionally well. We did buy a different hat because the one that comes with the costume is not quite right, but we found a perfect hat for around $5 or so. I highly recommend purchasing this costume if you have a child dying to be Willy Wonka for whatever reason lol ... show more

    • Easily recognizable costume!

We ordered this for our 3 year old for Halloween. The XS was out, so we got the small knowing I would need to alter it a bit. It was huge--probably big enough for an 8 or 10 year old. It arrived in good condition. The hat bends easily into shape if it gets bent. The coat and vest are attached--you put the costume on over your head like a poncho. The materials were sufficient quality for a costume. The collar was odd, sort of foam filled, with rough serged edges. My son loves Willy wonka and this costume brought that character to life. Used this for my sons birthday! Was a little big for him but I rolled the sleeves up and made it work :). Does not include pants. And the top was easy to put on my son. Goes over clothes. Hat was cute too.

Costume is a pretty typical lightweight, thin kind of Halloween costume.... I mean these costumes last through the Halloween night usually, the seams are not reinforced and the materials usually thin polyester so that's all to be expected from a $20 costume. Not disappointed in that much, halloween costumes are pretty cheaply made, however, I bought this for my 6 year old boy. I bought the small which is supposed to fit I think from 36mo to a four-year-old maybe and it is literally way too big. I intentionally bought the smaller one because he's chinese-made costumes usually run pretty big so I took that into consideration before I even bought that thing and got a smaller size. It fits my ten-year-old perfectly as shown in the pictures. We weighed my 6 yo son and measured his inches he's 45 lb and 45 in tall so this should fit him perfectly and yet it hangs off of him by maybe 5 in in the arms and again it fits my ten-year-old. So it's not really for a four-year-old rather it's for a eight to ten-year-old which is disappointing because Halloweens in a few days and we don't really have time to reorder something.... so I've added three pictures the one little boy that it's way too big on is my six-year-old and the boy that it fits is my 10-year old and this is for the size small that is supposed to fit a 4 year old. ... show more

Bought this costume for my 9 year old son to wear at the reading parade at his school. He loves the movie and really wanted to be Willy Wonka at the event this year. Got this costume in a large, which is equivalent to a kids size 12-14 per the seller... and it fits him a bit loosely, but will work fine. A medium would have been too small I think. He's super cute in the costume and with the Willy Wonka Pin on his lapel and some Wonka candy to pass out to the kids, he's sure to be a hit. ... show more
