Not only does this costume fit perfectly, it’s absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait for Halloween to do my little girl's hair and makeup! I will barely have to do anything because this costume sells itself. The material is gorgeous, it looks beautiful on her- I have no complaints. I hope it’s warm bc I don’t even want a coat to jeopardize the costume being seen fully! The dress is so pretty, and my daughter got so many compliments in it. It runs a little large in the straps at the top, and we had one of the clear wing straps snap immediately. Thankfully a new one was quickly stitched on. The other downside was the headpiece - it was matted and just unattractive. This peacock costume was exactly as pictured - very cute, nice little “extras” like loops to connect your wrists for fanning out the tail, layers of tulle (?) or fabric mesh for “fluffing up” the skirt.. my 7yo daughter loved it. The headpiece is pretty corny, but we had ordered a mask-like fascinator instead, and glad we did. But otherwise the rest of the costume was great. It is cute but is not as well made as it looks like in the picture. The head piece is nothing like what the girl is wearing, instead it is a flimsy comb with a few feathers and sparkly pieces that fall out. I am going to make a new headpiece for it. To get the peacock feathers in the back to stand out, there is a plastic band that you wear around your wrist so when you move your arms the back feathers stand up. The picture misleads this part. We thought it would be more of a sturdy wire attachment (like angel wings on angel costumes) My daughter thinks the dress is fun and says she feels more like a peacock princess than a peacock. It reminds me of a dance recital costume. If she is happy than I am happy. I ordered a medium, she is almost 10, very petite, wears a 8 slim and this fit perfectly with room to wear a shirt underneath. ... show more

This is a very cute costume, my daughter loves it a lot. All the pieces came, however, the head dress is not like the one that is pictured. I ended up removing the feathers from it, and making one of my own for her to wear instead.

Exactly as expected. I ordered a medium for a 45 lb, 45 inch spec, very lightly built girl. A tad loose on the upper back but can be easilyfixed by pulling together and putting a brooch on it. Created a beautiful effect. It was a little hard to keep the hairpiece straight, finally used some hair color matching barrettes on each end to provide support and barrier to the part that should stay up. ... show more

My 7 year old daughter loved it and got so many compliments and declared it, her best costume ever. Just like the other reviewers said, the plastic wrist things that hold up the tail feathers immediately broke so I just took a thread and needle to them and they held up through the trick or treating. Also as other reviewers said, you will need to use some bobby pins or something to secure the head piece and it doesn't look as full as it does in the picture but overall this is a cute costume. I believe I ordered the medium for her. She is 60ish pounds and she had a little room in it which is great, hopefully it will still fit next year. Although it's probably going to be her favorite dress up item so it might not last a year. ... show more
