We love this power chair. When we got it I checked all of the bolts and nuts to make sure they were all tight and only a couple of them were a little loose. I was trying to decide if I was going to send it back because in the description it said that it would do a 12 degree incline max. Our ramp is 7.5 so I figured it would work. I also liked that Rubicon is here in the US and is a US company. The chair does say made in China - but anyway. When I looked at the manual is said that 6 degrees was the max incline it would handle. I had it all packaged ready to go back and I decided to call Rubicon and ask them. they were great. they got back to me right away. I thought I had bought from them directly through Amazon , but looked closer at my invoice - and it was a different company selling Rubicon. But they didn't care, they helped right away and told me that it should be fine for our ramp and if not to send it back to them. So, we tried it , and yes it works great. I like the fact that it is foldable and easy to store. We really like the footprint and we have tried it outside on several different surfaces - and it seems to work really well. My husband is just under 200 lbs - but it's rated for 300 lb - maybe at that weight it would be slower- i don't know. The joystick takes a bit to get used to because it is very sensitive, but someone complained that the slowest speed was too fast, Once you get used to the joystcik you can literally crawl if you want to. And it is pretty peppy even up the hill on our street. Also, one of the foot rest clips got a couple of pieces out of it.- when it fell on the floor. They sent me two new clips immediately. So, they have been really great and very responsive. I would definitely buy from them again. Our only suggestion would be to make the anti-tip supports in the back about a 1/2 in to 3/4 of an inch shorter. they are not adjustable and They do get caught sometimes - like on our speed bumps on our street and on one spot on our ramp. But other than that - great.

Absolutely recommend. I have had this chair fishing as well as in one of the largest sporting goods stores. It performs perfectly. It performs better than the price range it is in. Make sure to do the maintenance of checking the nuts bolts and screws are tight before first use as well periodically through continuous use. Excellent battery life is a BIG bonus.

Please please please read! The wheel fell off of this wheelchair while I was in it traveling across a bridge with a steep ravine and a river below it. It's extremely dangerous! The wheelchair comes with the wheels already attached so please if you decide to buy the chair check everything out especially the wheels. There is no safety mechanism in place to keep the wheel on if something were to happen. In my case the bolt holding the wheel on fell out. The chair came gouged up and it was missing some parts. The leg mechanisms where broke where they attach to the chair. So that was a huge issue. I'm on vacation and now I don't have a wheelchair so I can't do any of the things I wanted to do. Other than the wheel falling off my opinion of it is fairly good. I haven't had much time in it but it's seems fairly comfortable and it goes well. Two speeds...high and low and in both speeds it has some zip. When you take the hand controller off it's a little tricky so bring an allen wrench. It is heavy, 70#.

I have so many positive things to say about this chair. I was so worried because some of the reviews but rest assured this is a quality chair that will get you mobile again quickly!! I have been to Disneyland all day and the battery indicator didn’t even budge. The controls are very smooth and responsive. There is no delay to learn. Th joystick is comfortable and can be moved on with side. I’m currently using this chair on a trip to New York. It handled the airport with ease and upansn down the streets of Manhattan, the subways and even took it off the beaten path on grass. There wasn’t a situation the chair didn’t take. Battery life is amazing. The only downside - I wish the seat was a tiny bit wider. I ordered a memory foam seat pad for added comfort. The directions that came with the chair were wrong but customer service was very responsive. I have one little piece on the footrest that busted on my trip so hopefully they can get me the part right away.

Shipping was delayed a day by FedEx because of the weather but it was well within the delivery timeframe promised by the sender. When I read the previous comments, I thought that many of the negative comments may have been avoided if the wheelchair was given a once over to tighten everything before it was used for the first time. I found multiple lose screws and bolts. After charging overnight, I took it for a spin in my community. It ran great. I've only had it 5 days and already pimped my wheelchair out by adding a cup holder, new armrests with more and softer padding, and adding a removable headrest so it can be more comfortable on my neck and spine but still be folded to fit in the trunk of my car. Only gave 4 stars because it is still awkwardly heavy at 70 pounds without a way to easily remove both batteries. Make the batteries removable and the awkward weight would drop. In addition, the swing away leg supports don't lock in place. The metal casting for that bracket is flawed with extra metal preventing the secure lock. Needed to file away that metal to get it to latch properly.

This has given me my freedom back!!! The only thing I had a problem with so far was the brackets for the leg rest both broke. And the screws for the control box were to small and fell out. But the company sent replacements!
