I ordered these because they were the right size to use as rubber feet on my air compressor. The completely eliminated vibration and noise coming from the base of my compressor. I cannot comment on using them for a muffler on exhaust as that is not what I used them for. My muffler dropped where it's welded to the straight pipe and as I removed the old ones they were a really soft rubber. These are hard as can be so I might have to heat up the metal to replace.

    • Exhaust on old SUV was rattling around, now it doesn't.

They were not kidding about these being "high density". They are a good deal heavier and tougher than the rubber hangers they replaced. My SUV had a section of the exhaust with a catalytic converter and a resonator that was starting to rattle whenever I put the gas pedal down. The existing hangers were old and a bit loose. These cleared that right up. A little spritz of penetrating oil on the post made it easy to take the old ones off and put the new ones on. I also used a pair of exhaust hanger removal pliers (available at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08V1JR5V9), which made taking the old ones off a breeze. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. When twisted they don't feel overly stiff or prone to crack. The rubber is pliable. They can be easily cut with a hot knife and used for spacers. I am using them to mount an aftermarket fuel tank on my Enduro. They come four in a pack. I looked around for rubber spacers but could not find anything to fit my application.
