We ordered this cooler as a Father's Day gift. It worked perfect for trips to the pool or picnics. The cooler worked great until October when the zipper split unexpectedly. We tried various things to fix the zipper and get it back on track so to speak. When we couldn't fix it we contacted RTIC about the problem. They had us send pictures, proof of purchase, and explain what happened. We sent this information on November 26, 2018. We have heard absolutely NOTHING since. We didn't expect a replacement, but felt that we at least deserved a response. After googling RTIC zipper problems, I found we are not the only ones in this situation. RTIC has nice items at reasonable prices, but the quality is obviously not there. The customer service also is less than impressive. I would not recommend this product. ... show more

I see a lot of complaints about the zipper but I took a chance and ordered it. Received it today and took a couple picks of what came with the cooler. The feel is great, feels like quality, style is really awesome. Shoulder strap is easy to adjust and is very comfortable. Front zipper slides back and forth quite easily. The main zipper is a bit harder to start but here’s the deal. The cooler ships with zipper lube. I applied some when I got it and we shall see how it works. After applying the lube the zipper was smooth. Apply it often and you shouldn’t have any issues. One of the key things I like about this cooler is the top lid. This cooler sits upright quite nicely and won’t fall over, with that in mind you don’t need to zip the top at all. The lid fits down nicely and so less zipper use means longer zipper life in my book. If your freaked out about zipper reviews then order the upgraded 2 year warranty for $6. That’s $3 a year folks, let’s be honest if you can’t afford the $6, this cooler might not be right for you. One other key feature..3 distinct ways to carry the cooler. 1. Shoulder strap, 2. Side straps come together with a nice Velcro strap for a single hand carry or 3. End straps for loading in a car or carrying with two hands. I’m a dude, I like options. I plan on using this on my Waveruuner and for my beverage transportation to my monthly poker game. Can’t go wrong in my book if you order this cooler. My buddy Doug told me about his (he’s had it 5 years) and that’s why I went for it. ... show more

I will start by saying I loved this cooler when I first bought it back in mid December till now. The first two photos are of the cooler I first bought; and the last two photos, are of the replacement they sent me. Doesn’t it look like two different coolers? The cooler they sent me is missing some things, like rear mess pocket, and the extended straps with D-rings. When I contacted RTIC about the replacement they sent me; their response was that, this cooler is the new design that hasn’t been released on the site yet. Haha! Well if that’s the case then they are going backwards. So beware of this! If you want to get your soft cooler warrantied for any reason. Very disappointed with my cooler and just wish they would send my old one back to me and I’ll fix the d**n zipper myself. I would definitely point someone in the other direction if you know what I mean lol!! ... show more

My wife bought me this RTIC Cooler for my birthday and I've been quite happy with it after a month of use. Living only 15 minutes from one of the top beaches in the world (Siesta Key Beach), we enjoy the surf and sand as much as possible. However, until I started using the RTIC cooler, we really didn't have a cooler that kept our drinks "ice cold" for very long in the hot Florida sun. This cooler has been great! In fact, after 3 visits to the beach (at least 4 hours each time), I'm still using the same bag of ice! After each trip, I just put the ice bag back in my freezer (less whatever ice may have been used for some of our mixed drinks). Some people have complained about the zipper being tough to use, but I've had no problems since I've used the provided silicone grease tube to keep the zipper lubed. The carry strap makes it easy to carry the cooler the long distance from the parking lot to the shore. The pockets on the front and back of the cooler are convenient to keep a bottle opener, too.     • Not Worth The Money Does Not Keep Ice

I recently purchased this cooler. Apparently the older ones are great as a friend of mine has had one for a few years and his keeps ice for about 48 hours. Mine keeps ice for about 12 hours in 60 degree weather. Last night I filled it with ice and beer around 4pm. It was 60 degrees and the cooler was never in direct sunlight. When I checked it at 7am all of the ice was gone. The beers were still cold but there was no ice. It is slightly better than the other $30 soft coolers that I have but costs 5 times as much.     • Worst “cooler” I’ve ever owned. Complete junk!
My first impression is not great. I travel for work and used this to take food with me, which was fine as most items were frozen. On Wednesday I put some beer in the cooler and a small bag of ice from the hotel, and next morning it was all melted. On Thursday I filled cooler with ice from hotel and when I got home the ice was all melted. It was in the car about 8 hours and was not hot outside at all. I'm not sure if hotel ice is not great, so I'll test again, but I really expected the ice to still be there after such a short time 01/15/2020 update; Rtic replaced my original item, but this is no better. Cannot keep ice, even for a few hours. Wish I’d have saved my money. Also the zipper is very difficult to operate. ... show more
