This solid wood frame made it possible to screw the rings in and hang it up. a previous purchase had said "wood composite" but was actually cardboard and wood look contact paper, couldn't handle screws so it was a total loss. Second search turned up this lovely frame. It was a little too short on the sides for my canvas but an eighth inch offset in two places anchored the stretched canvas snugly. For the price point, I am very satisfied. Beautiful colored wood, doesn't look cheapo and won't be easily scratched, and easy to put together. Was nervous about the hardware, but my husband thinks it's safe.

Arrived very well packaged! I always feel a little on edge when reviving something glass in the mail but this was packaged very well and was intact. The frame has nice build and weight to it, I choose to secure it to my wall with command photo hold strips and it has stayed put.

The wood frame itself is really very nice. The color is rich with no areas that aren’t stained. The corners are virtually invisible. No scratches or dings in the wood. The mat wasn’t pure white and was a warm color, so it complements the rich wood very nicely. The problem was that the glass was broken. The packaging was poor on Amazons part though because it was sent in an envelope rather than a box. I called Amazon and they gave me an immediate refund since it was unsafe to return. So no big deal.
