The color and sheen easily the best selling points to this set as they largely match the drapes to create a more uniform feel. The first thing I did was to wash the set as instructed (cold water, delicate mode, the usual). The color held up but even the initial cycle's suds had pink water so somebody was having too much fun with the dye. Long-term, I wonder if the color will hold up. So far, there's no staining of the mattress pad protector under the fitted sheet. I also made the accident of throwing in a couple of white allergen-trapping pillow covers, which are now pink. Which isn't a problem because those are mostly shrouded by the pillowcase going over those. Definitely wash these sheets separately, or if you want to combine loads then throw in black clothing that isn't much heavier than the fabric used for these sheets. The elasticity is... nonexistent. Made worse in that they don't stay on a 13" deep mattress, much less fit evenly around the mattress. Spending $5 on those elastic Y-shaped clip things largely mitigates the issue but you'll still see the gaps where the sheet doesn't fit around it. The stitching around the fitted corners is also pretty slight and I worry they'll rip apart at some point - I'll update this review if that happens. I'm not sure what the thread count is. Probably 100-count, because they feel cool and won't keep you warm. They're great for the summer. There definitely is a smooth feel to the sheets. The amusing downside is that the smoothness makes it easier for the top sheet and comforters to slide off the bed as well. A few QC issues aside, these seem to be an okay purchase. If they hold up over a year then I'll revise the rating to 4 stars. ... show more

I was a little disappointed when I opened the box and seen that they we're only 250 thread count. It's not listed in the description, but since so many users said they we're soft I was expecting a minimum of 400(Higher thread count usually translates into softer sheets). The color is a little off, I want to say that they have a copper hue to them, but it could be the poor lighting in the bedroom. As a few noticed, they are over-sized. Which if you have a mattress pad or just an extra deep mattress these sheets are great, if not they're going to be loose. Pillow cases we're also a little small because I use queen size pillows for my queen size bed(who does that?). These pillow cases fit a standard sized pillow better(like most bedding in a bag sets). I got them to upgrade my current bedding, but the low thread count and how lose they fit are a deal breaker. I think they look fantastic, but are probably going to end up in the guest room. They are usable, but they aren't the real deal. They are somewhat soft, softer than the thread count would have you believe, but not what you get with real silk sheets. In turn, they are good for the price. Bottom Line; You get what you pay for. These aren't bad, but I think I'll stick to the local stores next time. Update; After trying to use these sheets for a few weeks, I like them less and less. They are incredibly hard to keep on the bed, I usually wake up trapped inside of them. I think the elastic band that keeps the bottom sheet on the bed lost of it's tightness. Would not buy again. ... show more

We got the red "silk satin" sheets and they look beautiful, but feel awful. They feel like a cheap Halloween costume material and provide no warmth yet they make you sweat like crazy (?). They would work for a boudoir photo shoot or to stage a room, but they are not good live-in material. If I could do it iver, I would not purchase these. ... show more

I bought two sets of red knowing my girlfriend would like them. I put a set on the bed and when she discovered them she was literally excited. Not to sound stereotypical, but she is very Chinese and loves shiny red. When I showed her the second still in the package set she snapped them up and took them home. I haven't had them long enough to address any staining. Queen size was plenty big for my queen size bed. I find them very comfortable. I don't slide around on the sheets, but because they are so slick it is easy for the top sheet - including the blanket and comforter on top of that - to slide down off the fitted sheet. I have no problem with this. It's much better than getting tangled in flannel sheets that seem to grab on to me and never let go. Although these are currently out of stock I am ordering more to have when they become available. ... show more
