These are so yummy and delightful!
I'm 62 and always saw these while growing up. But, my mom was diabetic and we never had a lot of sweets around the house, and so we never got these. I always kinda thought these were kinda cheap and plain (based on impressions), but, everyone seemed to be buying them, and making sewing kits out of the tins! Then came the internet and Amazon reviews! And inflation!!! These have such great reviews that I had to try them or else deal with "FOMO." And I'm so glad now that I tried these, they will be a forever staple in my household. They're just good!!! And plain, but fancy, which means they can be served for any occasion!!! Even my daughter, who loves to bake yummy things, said they were good!!! I love the flavor most, but a close second is the fanciness of the cookies, especially the swirled ones and the sugar coated ones. They look so refined!!! They're so elevated and classy, --as cookies, but also in the great way that they're presented with the muffin papers. These are great to buy for oneself, for the family, and to give to friends, you just can't go wrong with these because they're so perfected --needless to say, I highly recommend! ... show more

Absolutely perfect!

The Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies in the signature blue tin are a classic for a reason. I purchased these recently, and they far exceeded my expectations in both quality and freshness. The assortment offers a perfect variety of textures, from the light, airy rings to the crunchy, sugar-dusted pieces. What stood out most was the genuine butter flavor; these do not taste processed or artificial. They have a rich, melt-in-your-mouth quality that pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea. The iconic tin is sturdy and keeps the cookies remarkably fresh long after the seal is broken. Pros: - Consistent, authentic buttery flavor. - Excellent variety in shapes and textures. - The reusable tin is high-quality and keeps the contents crisp. - Perfect for gifting or serving at gatherings. Cons: - They are incredibly addictive, making it difficult to stop at just one serving. - The tin can sometimes be a bit difficult to pry open if you do not have a flat tool handy. If you are looking for a reliable, high-quality treat that feels nostalgic yet premium, I highly recommend these. They are a staple in my pantry now, and I will definitely be purchasing them again for the upcoming holiday season. ... show more

Dangerously good
Best cookies I ever had. I usually get them every Christmas season had to buy my own this year. They look awesome. They taste great. The ingredients are top-of-the-line when it comes to Christmas cookies as I call them crispiness you hear every bite. The moisture content is spot on. The fragility of the item yeah could they break easily in transit? Yes but not always they’re hard to break in your hand unless you actually snap them great quality. These are addictive. I could eat a whole tin in one day or in a half hour. They are so good that’s why I only get them during the holidays like Christmas because I know I can eat these all year long. They’re like Christmas cookies. In my opinion you can’t just eat one and you really want them all and the tint is good to keep afterwards and if you like the little piece of paper like I don’t know like I guess you would call it like the wax paper or whatever it’s called that goes over top. You can put it at the bottom and take some double-sided tape and tape it to the bottom if you like not that shiny tin layer at the bottom, the good to reuse if you want to give someone cookies or if you want to use it for additional things all through the year definitely worth it. The price is awesome. Go ahead and buy it. You won’t be disappointed unless you can’t eat cookies then do not buy them but otherwise go ahead and get them. ... show more

Artificial Butter Smell. Contains More Palm Oil Than Butter. Very Crumbly.
These cookies come in a cute tin already packed in a blue gift bag. My tin arrived dented and the front of the bag is torn. There is no padding as part of the the product packaging, which is often included with other cookie tins to avoid damage before it gets to the shopper. The cookies arrived pretty beat up. Many were broken and/or in crumbles, but the cookie pieces were good! These cookies are more crumbly than the OG Danish Butter Cookies. (These cookies are made in India.) After eating two of these, I realized that these contain artificial flavoring and sort of give off that "movie theatre popcorn" fake butter vibe. I noticed that these cookies contain more palm oil than butter. The ingredients listed on the back of the bag are: Refined Wheat Flour Sugar Vegetable Shortening (Palm Oil) Butter (Cream, Salt) Invert Sugar Corn Flour Skim Milk Powder Salt Emulsifier from Soy Raising Agent Artificial Butter Flavor I think these are okay cookies and could be a good if they arrived in perfect condition. They are lighter and definitly artificial tasting when compared to actual Danish Butter Cookies. Also, before gifting these, might be good to double check the recipient isn't avoiding palm oil in their diet, as many people are. ... show more

The Shocking Truth NOT ONE REVIEWER Has Admitted
80,000+ reviews, and not ONE reviewer here will admit the truth. So I'm just going to come out and say it. Because everyone is thinking it. And if you agree I'm right, I expect you to place your order as soon as you're done reading. So here's the truth..... Yes, these cookies are TASTY. They are rich, sweet, crispy. You can practically smell them just looking at a picture of them. But that's not the only reason you're ordering them, is it? It's not the only reason why we ordered them. So what is it? WE WANT THE TIN. I don't care where in America you were raised, you grew up seeing that classic blue and gold Royal Dansk tin. Your grandma, aunt, or maybe your mom kept her sewing supplies in one. Your dad or your uncle kept spare screws, nails, washers or other stuff in one that didn't quite have a place in a toolbox. Maybe you remember one with spare change. Maybe a place to toss a wallet, keys when we get home. Or maybe it was filled with the "junk" and various items that didn't fit in that ONE DRAWER in the kitchen that was overflowing with random stuff that didn't quite have it's own spot. Batteries, scissors, thread, some tape, that remote control that goes to something you don't even remember anymore (bonus points if you remember the remote missing its back). Don't even pretend you don't know about that "kitchen junk drawer." So when you order some Royal Dansk cookies, of course you get to munch on some tasty treats. But we could buy cookies in a regular container with a wrapper. Yet we want these. Because we want that tin. That tin that will last for years and years. One that will remind of our youth, of our family. Of a tradition that so many of us kept, but none of us ever talked about out loud for some reason. And you can have all that for less than five bucks. Seriously. A 12-ounce tin of these classic cookies is less than five dollars. And here's the crazy part. When the holidays roll around, stores actually sell EMPTY decorative tins for you to gift your homemade cookies or sweets in for the same price. If not more. That's five or six bucks for an empty tin. When you could be getting this classic tin packed with tasty, buttery cookies that take you back in time with every bite. It's almost like a $5 purchase can bring back million-dollar memories. So treat yourself. You've got five bucks. Why put it off, or make excuses? Add a 12 ounce tin of these cookies to your shopping cart. Then check out. Depending on where you live, you'll get it tomorrow, or quite possibly today. Won't even have to waste gas driving to the store. And when you finish off that last delicious cookie, put the tin to good use. Keep the tradition going, starting right now. ... show more

Best Tasting Butter Cookie
Excellent flavor that is a great combo with coffee or milk. Just enough crispiness - not soft and not too hard. This little box of cookies is a great buy!
