  • Great
These look great on the Jeep and are good quality. Easy to put on and so far holding up very well.

  • Beautiful when new - but the rusting comes quickly
I really loved the look of these on my Jeep when they were new. Unfortunately, they started rusting very quickly (first year). My jeep is my daily driver and has not been taken off road. So these fenders are not getting hit by rocks or branches and just see regular city/road use. When the rusting started, I'd wire brush it and spot treat it with Rustoleum. By year two, the rusting was so bad that I've decided to remove the fenders and try to wire wheel and sand all the bad spots for a repaint to try to salvage them. I was able to remove the fronts (after cutting off the pan headed bolt head) but not so sure how I'll get the rears off. The mounting hardware that was included is easy enough for an install, but presents a real problem if you need to remove. The included pan headed bolts are tightened with an allen wrench and once they corrode just a bit, you'll be very lucky if you can later loosen them with the allen wrench. When installing the rears you need to crush in nutserts into blind holes which is a real pain to do with the "tool" they give you. I've tried to loosen a couple of the bolts with an allen wrench and so far they won't budge - even after days and days of hitting with PB Blaster. For my reinstall I plan on replacing the bolts with a proper hex headed bolt. I'm also going to hit the bolt threads with anti-seize. I fully expect the rusting will continue and I'll need to remove these again for more rework. My next fender upgrade will definitely not be using these fenders. I think I'll be looking at a textured plastic set - maybe Bushwhackers as they have a similar style to them but they won't rust. ... show more
