  • Be sure that your bushings can be pressed out
Rear spacers were easy to put on if the directions are followed. Front was the issue (for me) I chose to purchase new loaded strut assembly. So I needed to remove the strut mounts and remove the bushings, that turned out to be an issue for me as the struts I purchased had bushings that can not be changed. I got the kyb mounts that rough country suggests but was unsuccessful in getting the bushings pressed out on one side (diy with no fancy tools) I resorted to plan B, which was to purchase the rough country loaded 2.5 lift strut. ... show more

  • Worth it, but needs more parts to install properly
I installed this myself on a 2012 Jeep Liberty. Install on rear is easy, the front is a little more involved. I did this on the street with spring compressors from the local auto parts store, hand tools and an impact so it is doable. I strongly recommend buying new strut mount bushings before beginning this project since the instructions state that you must press out the old bushings and reuse them. Many of these struts do not have removable bushings! New bushings cost me about $36 for both so it doesn’t cost much and will probably save you from a headache. ... show more

  • Economic way to lift your 2011 Jeep Liberty.
This was an economical way to add 2.5 inches of lift to my 2011 Jeep Liberty. Now I am able to run 245/75R 16 off road tires, from the stock 225/75R 16s. You will need to rent or buy a McPherson strut spring compressor, and a ball joint separator if you plan to install these yourself. Be sure to get and wheel alignment after installation. ... show more

  • read well before buying.
install these in a jeep liberty 2008 - 2012 they were perfect. But the ones on the front are not easy to install, you need a special tool to compress the spring and remove the original base to install the new one. 2-3 hours of work for the ones on the front and the ones on the back are easy for 1 hour both. I installed both and my car was raised from the rear by 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch. I called the customer service and they told me that it is normal that nothing can be done and the car really looks bad. it is better to buy only the ones in front. and the back that are not 2 inches that are 1.5 inches. ... show more

  • 2008 liberty looks good but....
Reviewing this item after few months of use ...installed on 2008 liberty and from a chobby square box became a little tank amazing looks..however this kit comes with 1/2inch studs when the Jeep uses 5/8inches for the studs comes with cheap washers and it had become a rattling nightmare and lots of don't again all over work, I did an upgrade to my lift kit last weekend if it comes loose again I'm taking them out left the 3stars for the looks but is unsafe and lots of work involved in this lift kit not happy with functionality ... show more

  • Works fine.
The only thing I didn’t like was the bolts in the front are smaller than factory.

  • It is exactly what it says
You will, most likely, get what you're expecting. It's a spacer lift and as long as you are mildly mechanically competent, it'll work out just fine.

  • Love the look!
Put this on my 2012 Jeep Liberty. Gave it the extra height and leveled it out nicely! gives it more of a unique look too. Great price on left, cost about $300 for install, which still isn't horrible. Rear is installed extremely easy, its the fronts that take more work!
