Thick soft cotton and not smelly at all. Was worried after reading some reviews talking about their stuff smelling like diesel etc, but mine was clean and didn’t smell out of the package. Washed it anyway and it’s sweet.

I have bought several brands of shemaghs for go bags and daily use. The Rothco one really stood out for its exceptional quality so I bought two more Rothco shemaghs for my wife and kid. Now I want to pick up a couple more for myself in different colors. They make really cool looking winter scarves.

It's a nice durable large visually pleasing piece of material that can be used in a variety of ways. I use it as a cold weather neck wrap and not only does it add style to my winter coat it also is very effective at keeping out the cold. I thought all shemaghs were made out of the same lightweight webby material. This brand is seriously tough but soft. It’s real cloth! Gonna buy more soon.

This Shemagh is quite a bit darker than pictured and a bit of a bluish grey (More on the grey side though) than pictured as well...but over all a quality piece of equipment.
