The bookcase is well designed and built. All parts easily fit together, and were included in the box. My 8 year-old grandson wanted every piece painted in one of four colors, taking us two days to spray paint. Nothing needed sanding, and there were no splinters. I had no issues with over-sized hardware, and appreciated the hex-head wood screws. I used a hex head hand driver, and a powered screw driver, because an 8-year old could not tighten the screws tightly by himself. Some have mentioned that the screw heads are not flush with the wood. If this is important to you, five minutes with a countersink puts all of the screws flush. About wood splitting when the screws are tightened: I didn't have this issue, but if I did, I would drill out the existing holes, making them slightly larger. This will take 10 or 15 minutes, and I understand that not everyone has a drill. My biggest issue was securing the bookcase to the corner walls. We live in an area that experiences earthquakes, and since I have lived through several, I know that the bookcase could be flying across the room. Imagine working in the kitchen when the refrigerator goes flying into the opposite wall! My mitigation was to place a strong screw, protruding about 1 inch, in the center of the top circular piece. I then fastened a strap to each corner wall, and connected each strap end to a bracket on the top of the vertical protruding center screw, allowing the bookcase to rotate. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the bookcase.

The media could not be loaded. I searched for a long time on Amazon to get the quality, price, and height that I was looking for in a rotating bookshelf. I am so happy that I am taking time to write this review! It comes sanded and ready for stain or paint. I chose to go with driftwood for my stain and a spray on polyurethane. It was so easy to assemble. Make sure you do each layer one at a time. I flipped over to get the screws on the bottom for first two layers. I love that it came with a white glove for assembly and a patch of sand paper too. I only needed to sand some of the poly spray that I had overstayed in one area. It is sturdy. It takes up very little space in a room. This is perfect for a college student, kids room, or if you have small space in an office. I plan to fill from top to bottom with children’s books but I wanted to show the fit and how many books you could put in one of the four areas on each level. Why I chose this one- first it’s REAL wood. Second, you can stain and paint to your liking. Third, the height of each shelf is about one foot. Not a lot of shelves will give that height. For my extra large books I plan to have a horizontal book display on a nearby armoire. I give this product 2 thumbs up! Great value for money!

This bookshelf exceeds my expectations. I love that the product is constructed from unfished solid wood. I stained the wood to better match the furniture in my child's bedroom. The instructions are sparse, but the shelf was easy to assemble. The pieces only fit together one way, which helped! Fully assembled, this shelf is sturdy, and it holds A LOT of books. I wish that more products like this existed in today's world of particle board furniture.

At first I was little disappointed at the look of the raw wood, but once together and loaded with books, they look fine, and I suppose you could stain or paint them if you wanted to. They were very easy to put together, and feel very sturdy. Also, the turntable rolls very smoothly, even with a full load of books. Very versatile. I'm surprised more companies don't make these.

Really happy 26th purchase. Needed a space saving item & this fit the bill! Simple to assemble (no funny/wonky cuts on the fab.) BUT pay attention to round pieces. There is a right/wrong side to make sure the end caps alternate. I painted it with leftover indoor acrylic. 2 coats. (A 4" roller with 1/4 nap made for easy, quick, good results.) Choose not to clear coat. Not much sanding needed though they do include a small piece of sandpaper with the wood screws. Along with an allen key. Power drill for the win (to save wrists). So far I have around 90 books on it with room to spare. (Mass markets to textbook height.) A couple larger books stick out a bit but nothing concerning. The 5 tier is 65" tall (5'5"). Rotates smoothly, not wobbly. Happy customer!

This is a really great high quality product. It was easy to assemble. The components were defect free and in excellent condition ready for staining or painting (I did neither because I like the raw finish). All of the screw holes lined up perfectly. I only had one screw that didn't get any purchase and spun in the hole. The shelf is very stable and rotated smoothly even after I loaded it with books.
