This is a great tool for small detailing projects. It comes in a sturdy case that holds everything securely for transport. It has a powerful motor with 10 different speed settings and the flexible wand attachment is fantastic when detailing in confined areas where the motor unit would not fit. It comes with a variety of detailing attachments for sanding, grinding, polishing, buffing and various other projects. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the attachments are not the same quality as the rotary tool itself. As my picture 5 shows, the grinding stone I was using came off the tool head in less than 2 minutes of use. I got out my Dremel attachment (picture 6) to finish the project which required another solid 30 minutes of use. This is definitely a 5 Star tool but comes with only 2 Star attachments. Do NOT buy this set if you are looking for a cordless tool. I'm not sure what happened here, but I can only assume that they copy-pasted this description from another item because this is 100% a corded tool. One star off for a misleading product title. That being said, this is a great set comparable to any Dremel or other rotary tool set you might find. The tool itself is a bit chunky and is not as sleek as a Dremel, but it will still fit comfortably in your hand and the included handle attachment is a nice addition. It has your standard variety of attachments and bits, including a flexible wand, grinder guard, and router guide and everything fits in the nice sturdy case that has a small footprint for your workstation. All-in-all, a very nice set that would have been 5 stars if not for the mistake of calling it cordless. ... show more

The WESCO rotary tool is a good tool, very competitive with Dremel on features but at a much lower price point. Given the frequency that I use a rotary tool, the WESCO is perfect. It has a variable speed trim control (8000-35000rpm), two chuck sizes and a router attachment that I've used before. I like that it includes a case, starter accessories and a removable fwd grip handle, which is very handy for better hand positioning. I have an old Dremel 395 (5000-35000rpm) and it's comparable in features and speed. The main difference is the length of the WESCO, which is approx 2" longer than the Dremel (see photo), and just a tad bit heavier. As a result, if you're doing fine work, the bigger WESCO may be less ideal, especially for longer use, but the difference for me is marginal. For the price, the features, power, the WESCO is a great buy - especially given the infrequency of use. But when I do need a rotary tool, I know this will do the job well. ... show more

I got this die grinder/rotary tool free for review, and I have to say if you grab this right now for $45 with a 30% off coupon it's a really great deal. The grinder itself is a little bit larger than some of the other ones that I have but I'm hoping it's because it's hiding a pretty sturdy motor. It comes with a plethora of tools and attachments. Matter of fact if this will be your first purchase of one of these tools than that's great cause you won't likely have to buy anything else for whatever it is you're working on. I think if you were to buy the name brand of this tool along with all the bits and bobs here you would end up spending at least 3 times as much if not more. ... show more

Though you can clearly see the cord in the photo, it is kind of funny that they refer to it as "cordless". With that being said, this is a solid rotary tool. It even comes with an auxiliary handle which makes control on certain functions much easier. It even came with an attachment to use a rotary blade, something I never considered with a Dremel type tool. The attachment lets you set a fixed depth. It also comes with a nice assortment of bits, but this is definitely a sampler assortment. I also like the flexible shaft attachment that will let you get to some delicate work areas.
