I love these booties. I purchased them for a couple of cowboy-themed business events. I did not find them to be too stiff or slippery. They look great with my boot cut and straight leg jeans. The heel is the perfect height and the pointed toe is not too pinchy. I ordered the same size as I do for athletic shoes (9.5 medium) and they fit true to size. I might have been able to get away with a 9M, but I'm afraid that the toe would have been too constricting. I wore them for an evening function where I had to walk a bit but was mostly sitting and they were comfortable. I wore them again the next evening for a similar event, but I inserted a thin pair of insoles for a bit more cushion and now they're perfect. Every fit is different and these boots are totally different from what I usually wear. Not sure if I can line dance in these but plan to try! If not, they are cute and I'll wear them for fashion only! I like them alot. They fit just fine.

The pros: If you have been wanting a red western boot, this is a great dark red color. As shown in the picture, the boot has random alternating red and darker red areas. Pattern is etched and printed on the boot. Boot is more beautiful than in picture. This is a short western boot with a snip toe. Heel height is about 1.5 inches which makes it comfortable. If you own any Roper boots, expect same familiar fit and comfort. Love the inner side zipper quality which makes it easy for putting on and taking boots off. The outer part of boot has a traditional pull-on strap for the western boot appearance. The insole padding for Roper boots is never enough for me and I add a store bought heel/arch combined insole. It is a PU outer so it will stretch and form to your foot faster than leather. The outer is soft and supple, looks like leather. Runs true to size and you can wear these for hours. Great boot for the price. The cons: If you want real leather, this is not your boot. However the PU is very comfortable and feels/looks like leather for a beautiful dark red boot. But I recommend you give these a chance because Roper boots look like leather and are a great quality boot for the price. I would give these 5 stars, except the insoles for me on Roper brand always need help, I use these for line dancing and wear them for 4-5 hours with no issues. ... show more

I ordered TAN boots, box says Tan but BROWN boots were in the box. I don't have time to exchange them for a special occasion but very disappointed. Then I just read another review that said the same thing. That's not right and should be corrected. But that being said, as far as the boot's review, they are pretty boots, love the zipper and are comfortable. I wear a 6 1/2 shoe and ordered a 7. I thought they were alittle tight at first but put in a cushioned insole. The lift actually gave my foot more room across and comfortable sole. I find them very comfy with this. This boot is very stylish and I like the imprint on the shoe. They are comfortable on the footbed. The heel height is perfect for everyday walking or riding shoes. I like the color of them also. This brown will go well with several outfits. I love that they are just above the ankle to the lower calf area on the leg. Will work well with jeans and summer dresses. I read other reviews before ordering to get an idea of sizing. The boots run big in size so I feel I could have ordered down a size but overall I am satisfied. I will just put on thicker socks I guess. I have small ankles and they are a little wide for us small ankle ladies.
