Ok update... They took back original and sent replacement, Now that I have a remote and can go though all the options I have tried it out. Works well in all modes except the one everyone has trouble with. FM Reception. on the 1 local station it does get the sound is great. But I don't like this station. All other are 50 miles plus. But great unit for price and space it doesn't take up.

I hooked everything up pretty quick and as I would any other receiver. The "instructions" are a 3 pager that are just basic functions - same as you probably would intuitively would figure out. FYI all the nobs are on max when you get it. Turn them down before you turn it on. 😉 However, was confused why when I pressed the mode button to go to FM, I could hear sound through the speakers, but only faintly. But any line in worked perfectly fine. Well, even though you turn the mode, you have to turn the knob to media player. At first I wanted to criticize, however thinking about it a bit differently - it makes sense. - media player - anything in the interface (FM, BT, SD, etc..) - aux - aux on front - CD - input 1 -DVD - input 2 When I was trying to figure this out, the instructions were no help, and initially I thought it was broken. I wanted to double-check all my connections. I pulled out the subwoofer cable and I heard something bouncing around on the desk. I looked down to see the RCA port had detached from the receiver and stuck inside the subwoofer cable end. 🤦♂️ Luckily, it was easy enough to put back together. The volume has an interesting concept. You can turn the volume to the max on the knob, and there is a max volune. Okay, that wasn't very loud... 🤔 Then I turned up the volume using the remote - with the knob in the middle. The knob is anolog, and it doesn't move the knob, and there is also a digital volume! I then turned the knob physically from half to about 3/4 and it was loud enough to make my wife leave the room. (Should have bought it a long time ago! Just kidding🤣) I have it paired with a pair of Genesis II, and a Sony Subwoofer. It gets loud / clear enough for a music room in the house to play guitar/bass/drums, etc... for a hobbyist. I have not checked the 1/4" mic inputs, but I assume they work. The power button on the remote should be more of a "stand by" button. It turns of the interface, but the volume knob is still lit up. When you turn it off and back on it levels. Personally I do not like the blue light, but I understand it's what's in right now, AND I knew what it was prior to my purchase, so I do not hold that against them. Overall. The value for the money is fantastic, and cannot be beat. I opted for this one for more power. There is a 500 Watt version (this one) and a 400. This one for $50?!? 💯 Would recommend to a friend, and would buy again if I needed one. For this price it's Perfect for a small Dive bar, restaurant, garage, shop, etc...

Just connected to power and the device won’t power on i tried using the remote control to power it while the amplifier is switched to on and it never powered, plugged into different outlet still nothing horrible quality control maybe one that isn’t defective would work better very tiny and hard to read instructions.

FM radio control and memory input and recall extremely difficult to understand. Instructions are confusing and the font is so small it is difficult to read even with a magnifying glass. When I finally figured out how to tune to a nearby station, fm quality was good. But each time I want to hear that same station the original procedure must be followed. No explanation on how to store or recall memory station. Using remote to turn off and on, previous station is lost. Needs a better manual in a font that is readable. Thinking of returning it.
