The box was shipped promptly and was well packaged with 2 shoulder pieces, 2 torso pieces, leather straps and laces, the helmet and the horse hair helmet crest. I’m still shocked that all this armor came in one box for the money I paid for it. When you remove it from the bubble wrap take care as it’s got a heavy coat of grease to keep it from rust. The armor is very well made and you will need to spend some time getting it adjusted to your frame. It’s also quite heavy when sitting on your shoulders, so wear some padded clothing. I can’t tell you how awesomely authentic it looks when put together with other accessories. It’s a film-quality prop and I plan on shooting some short films with it. Does it’s job. Made a great costume. I’d say it’s meant more for a size L or M person. But if you are on the bigger side, loosen the backside so that way you don’t look like a can of biscuits from the front. On that note, if you need longer leather straps, you can find them on Amazon just the same My only real criticism is that the hooks that fasten the front always come undone if you move a lot. don’t see why it couldn’t just have a belt thing like the rest of the armor I wasn’t going to war in it though, so Overall, awesome costume! 5 stars ... show more

I bought this armor for a monologue, cosplay or for a short film in the future. While putting it on, there are sharp edges, so just be careful. It's worth the price you pay for. I would say this would be more for a centurion type of armor since it has gold plated trims. It's good for its value.

I am so glad we bought these. Great quality for this price. They came packed very well and even though one of the boxes had a hole in it, everything inside was just fine. It does come packed in a lot of grease (understandable to keep it from rusting out while sitting in a warehouse). Plan to spend an evening wiping them down and getting it put together. If you need pristine condition armor you'll need to look further up the cost ramp. The two we bought have scratches where the buckles are and in other places. I don't know if that is from shipping or minor use. It works great for us because I was worried about that "too new" look that speaks to costume props. The leather strapping appears to be new. It isn't heavy leather, but should hold up fine for our actors. One of the brass hinges is very slightly bent, but the integrity of the joint is still fine. I am planning to put in some chin straps and hoping to get some padding sewn for underneath the lorica. The helms do come with a padded beanie, which is necessary because the decorative comb on top is attached with screws that could otherwise hurt. (It is nice that they are removable - gives you options if you want legionnaires instead of centurions). This is truly a one size fits most. I think larger actors will not have issues because the lacing can just be a little looser to accommodate larger individuals. It the person wearing it is slight of build, it will feel a little like wearing a tin can, but it will work. In order to get a custom fit, you would have to pay a lot more than this. For the price it looks absolutely incredible if not a little menacing. Very happy with this purchase. Didn't really try it on. I'm mainly going to use it for display purposes only. Although if you are looking for this product to wear it looks like you will be able to wear it.

It won't fit someone in the 300 pound area, not even close just so you are aware. You would need custom built by Nautical Mart to achieve that circumference. But other than that, it's a fine piece of armor. And the manufacturer was very helpful.
