Not only does it look good sitting on a shelf, but you can adjust the light to your desired brightness by holding the power button for like 2 seconds! I love how bright it is… one of my biggest concerns when buying the product was the lighting not being very good but this one is the one if you’re looking for bright lighting, mirror movement (360 degrees) and something that doesn’t look terrible sitting out if you have it to. The media could not be loaded. I have the most beautiful arch mirror over my vanity but needed something close up with good lighting for my darkly lit bedroom. Although this mirror is great in size and it is beautiful when lit, it is not a magnified mirror. So when you need to do eye makeup or put on lashes or contacts, it's not ideal because you need to be right up close. For people who wear glasses, this is not ideal because a magnifying mirror is what is needed. Also you need to have an outlet close to where you have the mirror because you have to plug it in. Just not what I expected. All vanity mirrors that I have had in the past had a 3D side.
