Got these because I’m new to rollerblading and they have a back brake while also having my size (size 12 1/2 rollerblades are nearly impossible to find). Some comments suggest going up in size but I’m glad I didn’t, these fit perfectly. A few weeks in skating nearly every day and I’m already walking my dog on these things. One of the laces started to tear and they’re sending me a replacement pair of laces as well as conventional laces so I’ll never have this issue again. A little bit more expensive than some of your other options, but I guarantee they would not be the same quality, fit or have customer service that goes above and beyond. ... show more

Don’t get me wrong, for me personally, i have no problem with the skates. They were exactly what i was after when i was browsing to order a new pair, which was more speed and stability. i ended up finding these and the shorter 10.8” frame pair with the 100mm 3WD set up makes maneuverability & stability really nice, even at higher speeds. you’ll learn to appreciate speed laces if you don’t use them already. if your looking for a pair to go faster but also do tricks easy, i would recommend anything 4WD and max 90mm wheel size. These are more meant for someone who is experienced in the field and knows what their doing when skating. If your looking for something to give a smooth fast & balanced ride, at the cost of some maneuverability & extra weight over your current ones (bigger wheels are heavier). For someone who wants speed and to go fast around corners and in straight aways comfortably, these are an exceptional choice. But if your not looking for a speed boost or your just someone who enjoys showing off, then i would still recommend upgrading off a 4x80 set up and go to a 4x84 / 4x86 as these skates will more then likely have better bearing for increased roll speed, bigger wheels for more DPR & an upgraded, refreshed feeling over your current ones. ... show more

I used to Blade in the 80’s and 90’s, so thought I would give these 3wheelers a go. They are difficult to get used to, because u are higher off the ground. I can seem to figure out how to go backwards on these yet. On my old blades (4 wheels) I skated backwards easily all the time). They are faster than my 4 wheel blades back in the day. They soak up bumps really well too! Just note, they will take awhile to master. I’m on week two, and getting a better hang on how to safely make my way on city streets and parks. Build- These blades are very supportive, and well made. Worth the $200 price tag. If u are new to blading, or an old pro, these will take a bit to get used to if u ride city streets. I ditched my 4-wheel blades for these 3-wheel skates, and so far, I love 'em. My 4-wheels had BOA lacing, which these do not, so I am missing that feature. But I love the speed of the Macroblade 100s. I've knocked off 2 minutes from my best circuit time. The pull-lacing system took a while to get used to; it was easy to overtighten them, but not easy to ease off on the fly as the velcro strap wraps right over the lacing release button. The ratchet cuff strap is way better than my old blades, and you can tighten them on the fly - unlike the boot laces. The boot is firm without being too tight and seem to have molded to my feet after a few skates - again, try different lace tightening pressures until you find a comfortable balance. Speed and maneuverability are off the hook no matter the surface - concrete or tar. Small rocks and sticks are much less impactful than skating with a smaller wheel size. ... show more

Do not do a size under, do a size up. I wear 10 sneakers so i thought i'd need a 9 skate but those hurt terribly, but I got these skates at 10.5 and they fit like a dream and don't hurt my feet at all. Also I'm 250 and they haven't broken yet but I haven't used them a ton yet either, but I will be.

I've been using these skates for almost two years now. Decent quality without any doubt + they are fast... however I found them really difficult to control. Especially on roads which are not perfectly even you need to stay super focused.
