Absolutely gorgeous color! (Orchid purple). Wheels are beyond stiff, they drag and don't turn worth a toot. Even loosening them enough to give more glide without risking them falling off does not remedy the problem. Though these are listed as being REAL LEATHER SUEDE, they definitely ARE NOT! They are some man made substance that has been "sueded". They are comfy though and i want to love them....but sadly, cannot. Also the grommets that the laces go through, are extremely rough and you can hear the fabric of the laces catching as you lace them up or tighten or loosen them. Over time, the laces will fray and get destroyed. I truly wish these were better and they need to stop lying about the fake leather. ... show more

First got a pair with try before you buy: thick laces (a purple pair and black pair), smooth eyelets for laces, symmetrical plates attached to boot, also came with tool to adjust tightness of wheels and extra parts. Just a bit to small so I sent the back to get the next size. Second pair one size larger: thinner/cheaper laces (purple only), laces got snagged going through eyelets, left plate attached off center on heel of boot which made my heel feel like it was dropping and I was going to roll my ankle, no tools or extra parts. Not worth the $80. I would have rather spent $30-40 more getting better skates. The Suede & light-up wheels are great but no good if skate parts are plastic. My son got them for Christmas, they lasted 2 weeks and they started coming apart. Asked around and fixing them will be close to $50. For that I wouldn't recommend these.
