I got these for an Eleven halloween costume - the fake blood stayed on them very nicely - but I might actually use them to teach myself to skate. I've dabbled, but it's been a few years! Easy enough to tighten the wheels and such, plus they're cheaper so if you're just looking to practice without going to a rink or something constantly, this works great. ... show more

I liked roller skating as a kid and the aesthetics of it was enough to get me back into it. These skates are so freaking pretty. I'm a sucker for pastel pink and these are an absolute dream. Best of all, they're so comfy. Other skates I've had in the past make my feet tingle and hurt so much I can only skate for 20 minutes. These are comfortable and easy to get the hang of. The wheels are smooth and turn smoothly. Like every roller skate, you can fall if you get a pebble caught under but that's pretty inevitable. They haven't become discolored or too torn-up after a year of fairly regular skating. These skates are pretty and comfortable, and I'd definitely recommend. ... show more

I bought this skates after I read all the positive reviews. I used to skate years ago and decided to pick it up again for exercise. The skates look really good. I tried them once for about 15-30min and they put enormous stress on my shins, I started to develop pain. Cause when you lean slightly forward it was very tight and the material don't give much at all with any movements. I waited a few days after my legs felt better and tried again, I even loosened the laces and didn't tied it all the way up to reduce the pressure on my shins, it didn't helped much at all. I am returning these and invest either in Low Top Skates or better materiel that is softer to wear. ... show more

Honestly these are fine if youre not sure youre ready to get into roller skating, but these should NOT be long term. They worked well for me for the three months where I was just learning to move forward and get comfortable on wheels. If you can afford something better quality please please do, cheaply produced skates like these are not safe.
