I prefer quad skates to rollerblades, and these aren't bad, though they're also not the best skates. For $40 (as of 10/20/2022), they're likely as good as you'll find. Follow the size chart for accurate sizing and consider going by the EU size. Skates are generally sized a bit larger than shoes. I wear a 9.5 in women's shoes and ordered these in a 9. They fit well with a tiny bit of room, and I honestly might have been able to go down to an 8.5 without becoming uncomfortable, but the 9 isn't too loose. The pebbled PU leather isn't really that appealing. One scuff on the asphalt, and your boots will look like trash. I haven't scuffed them yet, so I'm not sure if regular Kiwi polish would make them look okay again. The wheels are nice for skating at night, as they help with visibility. They don't require batteries - friction in the wheels causes them to light up. The stopper is adequate and should last for quite some time before needing to be replaced. The wheels are gummy, and can hug asphalt, but would be just as welcome at an indoor rink. There are some minor manufacturing defects - parts where the glue wasn't quite placed correctly, or where there may have been foreign material in the forms used to make the boot soles. The defects are cosmetic and don't impact the function of the skates. The wheels seem tight, but you can still get up a fair amount of speed on them without any adjustments. No tools are included for removing/replacing the wheels or adjusting them. The insides are lined with a white cushiony fabric that makes them comfortable to wear. I haven't yet had a chance to take them out around the neighborhood to break them in since it's cold out but will update this once I've had the chance to put a few hours on them. So far, they're as described, and I have no real complaints. They're not professional level skates, but they're good enough to get out and have some fun.
