I haven't roller skated in over 20 years so I wanted to find a good skate that would allow me to get back into the sport. This is a great option. It's a simple design but well made. You might need to loosen the wheels for smoother run but they provide you the tool to do that. These would make a great gift even for new skaters. They aren't exactly comfortable so you might want to consider insoles, but they definitely get the job done. ... show more

After carefully measuring my kiddo's feet as per the instructions and following the sizing chart I ordered "Men's 7.5 women's 8.5" size. Based on the measurement vs. the chart this should have been a loose fit (I figured on her wearing double socks). What I received was labeled women's 9/men's 8. Those STILL BARELY FIT her feet. She's just turned 12 and given the growth rate of a 12yo I expect them to fit for a few more hours... maybe :-) So from this it seems: Their sizing chart is wrong in the first place, and the size they sent is not what I actually ordered based on that chart (this was in my favor in this case), and lastly you should consider sizing UP. My goal for these skates was to use them so she can learn to roller skate on our own time without paying for the roller rink plus the skate rental fee. If they can last through this summer and she can learn to skate on them I don't mind paying a couple bucks to rent in the rink when we go. It's just that paying for a few hours at the skate rink for her to shuffle across the carpet while trying to learn seems a bit of a waste so I'm hoping to get her actually skating before we go back. For that goal these should do the job, and the price point is worth about two trips to our local rink sessions plus rentals and seems the better value. As to the construction quality and skates themselves, they are acceptable... but in no way great. The fake leather is soft and comfortable but lacks the stiffness that would be ideal or ankle support. Insole feels a little lacking for comfort. Surprisingly the wheels and bearings and hardware seem very good. In my use, if they'll last long enough for the kiddo to learn to skate, I'm okay with the quality. If I were looking for an adult pair to actually last I'd be more disappointed. To me it now seems like a race as to which happens first: she learns to skate, the skates fail in some way, or she outgrows them completely. I'm rating 3 stars because they work for the purpose but without being in any particular or specific way good or bad. ... show more

These skates are not only pleasing to the eye but as a newbie to the skate world, these skates are also very light on the feet. Which to me, makes a huge difference when you're learning how to skate. Roller Skates for Women with PU Leather/Glitter Leather High-top Double Row Rollerskates, Unisex-Adult Derby Skate for Beginner,Fast Braking Rink Skates I used to to be an excellent skater. This was years ago. I haven't been on skates in a long time and was surprised a few years back when my girls and I went to a roller rink and I thought it would be like riding a bike. Nope. All of a sudden, I sucked and felt really unstable on skates. I would love to be able to skate again with my girls so I'm looking to regain some of those skills I used to have. I love the concept of the break being in front because it's familiar to me. I started that way and then moved on to inline skates so I'm going to try and do the same thing this time around. If it weren't for the weird fit of these they would be a great starter skate. I usually wear between a 6 and a 7 depending on the shoe so I got a 7 1/2 thinking I would wear thick socks with them. They fit like a 6 would, on the smaller end length wise, so I would size up. They are not narrow so the width is substantial. The stitching is not great and because they aren't snug when I put them on and tie them as tight as they would go, I don't feel as stable on them as I know I should. I want to feel confident enough to not worry about my feet sliding around inside of them. If you have wide feet these will fit you better. ... show more

These are awesome! I was surprised at how comfortable they are. The wheels themselves are made of really high quality material allowing for a smooth ride. I need to get some padding to take these baby's out for a proper spin but overall I think these are great! These are made of high quality durable materials and they are comfortable. They also roll smoothly. I am very happy with these so far. I have no complaints. Definitely deserving of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

Good quality basic roller skates. Nothing much has changed in terms of technology for these. And these skates are pretty much just the same as the ones from the 70s. Wheel bearings are smooth, but a bit tight. They’ll likely loosen up with use. Good construction, decent leather. Indoor/rink use. The wheels might hold up on concrete or asphalt, but I don’t think I’d recommend it. ... show more
