The media could not be loaded. My daughter has been wanting roller skates but we haven't been able to find her size locally. Went searching on here and found these. What I love about these roller skates is that they not only fit her now but she can grow with these roller skates. She is currently in a 1.5/2, depending on the shoe and these fit her with room. She does put on thick socks because they are a little loose but overall, they fit her really good and stay on her feet when outside using these. The strap that goes around the top of her ankle, helps keep her foot from lifting too much and then the strap around her leg ensure that these do not slip or move around too much. To adjust these, there is a button on the outer part of each skate that you push and it will extend the shoe part to move forward. This way when her feet grow, she's still able to fit in these roller skates and we don't have to go out searching for a new pair. The wheels do light up but do need constant movement to keep them lit. She is fine with that because the more she skates, the more they stay lit. The stopper on these is very thick and really does help either slow her down or stop her. Great pair of skates. ... show more

Edited review: So I figured out how to loosen the wheels. I’m not sure if the paper work covers this but it comes with two hex nut wrenches. I thought that the second one was included in case you misplaced the other. Wrong. They’re included to hold one side of the axle/nut while you adjust the other side. I’m glad that I finally got it as my husband was about to try out some drastic measures to remove it and I was here for it lol. Now, I can tighten or remove the nut all together to maintain. The bearings are ok, but they don’t light as well on the previously more tightened wheels. It’s not a big deal as long as the wheels roll smoothly. Hopefully they don’t go bad soon but if they do, I’m sure I can find replacements. My daughter is no longer afraid to skate because the wheels are rolling properly now. She’s gonna be a pro in no time! As far as my recommendation, now that I know how to adjust the hex nuts, I can feel confident in purchasing more for my other nieces and nephews when they’re ready for it. Original Review: These skates are cute, however, the wheel nuts are stuck on the axle so you can’t remove the wheels. The bearings are damaged in several places so the wheels either don’t roll or they roll only for a couple of seconds. That’s dangerous. If I could remove the wheels I would give these skates 5 stars. They’re super cute and the extender works well so two stars for that. Unfortunately, I’ve missed the return window due to trying the skates out too late. I would’ve purchased more for my nieces and nephews but I can’t knowing that this problem could occur with their skates. I have purchased one pair for one of my nieces from another company and they’re great. Hopefully, the seller will see this review and resolve this issue. Thank you for your time. My granddaughter absolutely love these skates. I’m not sure if the skates are both left or right fitted because the buckle on them both go the same direction and one of the skates appear to to be on the wrong foot. I have switched them but it still appears that one is always on the wrong foot.
