The last time I had a pair of skates on my feet, I was 7 years old, I fell, scraped the heck out of my knees, and I never put them back on again. So that's the level of experience we're working with here. I've been determined to learn, though, because skating has become such a "thing" and just vibing on a pair of skates looks so fun. Because of my lack of experience, and uncertainty of whether I'd even enjoy skating or even COULD skate, my budget was pretty low (but not "break the wheels on the first use" kind of low). I decided on these skates and I have to say, if you've gotten this far into the review and thought "hey, that sounds like me!" then these skates are PERFECT. They're true to size, I always wear a size 8 and the 8's are a Cinderella-like fit. They're super comfortable, even though the tongue poked my right foot a little bit on the first use but softened up almost immediately. The wheels were just a tad bit too tight when I took them out of the box, but it's easy enough to loosen if you have the right tool (like a socket wrench or skate tool, not included with the skates). They've been an absolute breeze to learn on; with the help of a few YouTube videos I went from clutching on to everything around me for dear life to looking like I kind of know what I'm doing. If you're looking for a good pair of skates to learn on, I recommend these 100%.

Bought as a present for my granddaughter. We’re rink rats and go Atleast twice a week. She’s used them a few months now and loves them!! They are holding up well with all the use!! Wish there were more colors to choose from for her next pair.

Look exactly like the picture Daughter likes them Doesn't appreciate them but says they are comfortable. Got her the same size she wears in shoes and they fit. If you want to wear socks might size up one size. She’s gross and doesn’t wear socks with them so they stink too.

The trucks are made of plastic. I'm a beginner, but I heard that's a no-no. By putting weight on one side, I was able to lean the shoe portion dangerously close to the wheel, which would cause it to sputter/stop, and thus crash. I didn't wear them our, but didn't want to risk it.
