    • Super detailed and great quality
These Rolife kits are great quality. This is my third Rolife build and they are a lot nicer than some other brands I've tried. The instructions include photos and they are very easy to follow. They also include a part map. You can take any part and find the outline that it fits inside and you will know what it's part number is. This is really helpful if things get misplaced or you have to stop in the middle of a building step. This particular kit didn't come with glue. The other two from this brand came with glue so I'm not sure if that's standard or what. I prefer to use Turbo Tacky glue instead anyway. Everything else you need, except AAA batteries and a blade knife, are included. There are lots of little things you can probably find around your house to make the build easier. I like to use an emery board for sanding, clear water based varnish for different finishes on wood, and dimensional glaze for tiles and other glass like things. I would also suggest a few larger binder clamps to hold things while the glue dries as well. Sometimes I will make color copies of the cut outs/paper punch outs in case I make a mistake. They also provide you with extra wire, cloth, plastic etc. I have never run out of materials used to build things in Rolife branded kits. These kits are super fun to build, but they do take awhile. They also aren't really for little kids. I think that if you have a very patient younger kid they could do some of the steps with the help of an adult. The wiring for the lights is not really hard, but it is very finicky/fiddly and an adult will definitely need to help with that. ... show more

... and I advise taking your time with putting it all together. This kit is very well engineered - all the pieces fit very precisely, especially for the greenhouse structure itself. The larger greenhouse panels - the roof and left and front walls are heavy plastic embossed with the framework which is much less frustrating to assemble than small wooden panels with thin plastic sheets glued to them. Everything FIT - tabs and slots fit readily into the correct place. (Badly-designed kits are an abomination, in that someone assembling them gets frustrated and assumes that it is their fault that something doesn't fit.) The only component that I had difficulty with was the back-to-back sticky tape, I used Loctite Superglue gel instead, for certain elements. The plants, with one exception are cut and trimmed from plastic artificial plant sprigs. Only one plant was made with paper leaves on wire stems, which I think gives a more realistic miniature look. The other elements which I liked in this kit was that there was a groove across the back wall panel, to embed the wire from the light to the battery power source, which was then covered with a paper panel, so that the structure looks good from all sides. It's that degree of detail which I think make Rolife structures so very satisfactory to build. ... show more

    • The detailing on these kits are incredibly cute and seem to be improving!
These kits are very addicting once you get the hang of it and they make excellent little dioramas for toys or in my case Nendoroids! This kit did not come with glue, so you are gonna need that and a precision knife in order to make cuts in some of the paper flooring they give you. The hardest thing on this kit really is putting together the plants. I find those a bit tedious but considering that there is another garden kit that I have from this company that has even more plants in it. I’m glad I’m getting some practice from this one!! The only gripe I have is I wish the company could change the way you have to wallpaper the floors and walls? Sometimes I’m not able to get it as close cut as I would like or the other pieces scratch or fray the paper. Other than that excellent kit! Being that this is a new kit from this company they are getting better at adding more cute things! And other little objects that add so much more detailing to the project! ... show more

    • Fun to make miniature with working light
I've gotten a few items from Rolife, and each of them has been exceptional. This miniature greenhouse hangout room is no different. What I liked about this kit is that it comes with a lot of various plants and greenery compared to the other kits I've built. The placement of the battery for the light is smart and is hidden well. As always, the instructions are easy to follow, and I love that Rolife always includes extra pieces and materials. If I make a mistake, I can try again, and then with any leftovers, I like to make my own decorations to personalize my miniature even more. I've never been disappointed in getting a set from Rolife, and I would recommend this and any set if you are a fan of miniature building. ... show more

__You need glue and a good craft knife for this. Honestly, that's a good thing. IMHO it is better to buy your own QUALITY tools than the cheap ones provided in DIY kits. __There is something so endearing about miniatures--I suppose because you can control the scene so completely, and can imagine yourself in the "scene". I can't compare this to other kits, but the instruction book was good. This is not for small children--you need excellent hand eye co-ordination and patience. __Take your time and enjoy the process! ... show more

I really like the look of this miniature. I must, I accidentally ordered it from two different sellers! The look of it is exactly what I was hoping for. The set is quite challenging, with incredibly detailed pieces and very clear instructions for assembly. Although it's supposed to take about 6 hours to assemble, I'm taking my time and working on it bit by bit when I have time. I do recommend having your own glue and knife before getting started. Overall, I'm very pleased with this miniature and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a challenge and wants to create something beautiful. ... show more

I got this kit for my 8-yo daughter, and we've had lots of fun building this house together over several days. The kit is rated for >14 yo, so it was too difficult for her alone to assemble it. So I've been helping out with the super glue parts, as well as the more intricate steps. All the pieces were in the box with no missing parts, and the large colorful instruction book was easy to follow along to. 5 stars. ... show more
