I purchased the Rolanstar L-shaped gaming desk as a birthday present for my son. Right from the start, I was pleasantly surprised me, especially considering its price point. From the beginning, the experience was positive – it arrived promptly and impeccably packaged. The box was fairly heavy, but that is to be expensive with engineered wood. My son and I assembled it, and assembly was a breeze. Despite the weight, the process was smooth sailing, thanks to exceptionally clear instructions. These instructions not only guided the assembly but also offered helpful pointers to avoid common mistakes, ensuring a flawless construction. All components were present and labeled, with a handy bag for spare parts. It came with mini-tools, but I did find that my own made the process far easier. Some of the assembly would have been awkward if I didn't have a second pair of hands to help. The desk looks even nicer in real life. My son was thrilled with its sleekness. Its versatile configurations – offering options like right-L, left-L, or straight setups – added to its appeal. It is also surprisingly sturdy. For the price, I expected it might be on the flimsy side. My only criticism is with the size. The desk's dimensions are as advertised, but a few extra inches in depth would enhance comfort and functionality. This is true of the hutch as well. The shelf is very shallow. Despite this, I highly recommend this product, and I would buy another Rolanstar product in a heartbeat. Just check your size requirements first. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just got it, but I love it so far! Instructions were clear and easy to follow. It came with all the tools I needed. It took awhile to assemble, but that's all me. LED's are great too and are a nice touch (but you may need to reinforce the 3M that is on the back) It's HUGE, sturdy, solid, and it has a lot of storage AND it's pretty. Desk arrived well packed with no damage to the parts. Directions were clear and included tips for an easier construction. The box included everything I needed to complete the build. It recommended having 2 people to put it together, but I managed fine by myself (if you don't count RC as a helper...) It comes with straps to screw the shelving to the wall, but I don't have kids or earthquakes in my area, so I didn't use them. The tall shelving is reasonably stable without them. The lights have multiple brightness and color settings. There is a sleek set of buttons that attach to the underside of the lowest shelf; very easy to reach. I don't recommend the app to control the lights. It isn't necessary to control them, and it requires permission to read all of your text and email messages. So that's a hard pass from me. Quality material. Setup is time consuming but it makes up for it in quality. It is exactly what I expected it to be. The monitor I have is a 34” curved LG. The only knock I’d say is the depth of the raised shelf. You can see the monitor stand sticks out a little bit, but the stand is huge as it is so I wouldn’t be concerned. As you can see the PS5 is in the corner comfortably. Multitude of colors on the LED lights. This is 100% worth your money. It looks good and feels good. Plus you can rebuild is 3 different ways if you want. I am completely satisfied with my purchase! If you’re looking for a reasonable desk, look no further! ... show more

    • Great desk with a couple of shortcomings
Flat-pack furniture is one of my favorite inventions in recent memory, and this desk is no exception. Assembly took some time but the instructions are great and there's plenty of hardware plus all tools needed. I assembled it in the "A" configuration to fit into a corner. I love the look of the dark wood and black metal, and the fitment of every piece is excellent. The built-in monitor risers really expand the space and put the monitors at a very comfortable height. The LED lighting really enhances the atmosphere that I feel in this desk, I installed the lower strips under the monitor shelves and the upper strip on the back of the top shelf, so that it reflects off the wall and gives more of a glow rather than harsh direct light. There are several different lighting modes built into the controller and these are expanded widely when used with the app. The built-in power strip is also an awesome feature that I very much love about this desk. The not-so-good aspects of this unit, in my opinion, are few. For one thing the computer shelf, when fully assembled, does not allow sufficient clearance for my PC case, a Thermaltake versa N21. I had to remove the upper shelf so that a) the case would fit and b) so my pc wouldn't be sitting on carpet. Not a big deal, just would have been nice to have that little extra shelf space. The second thing about this desk that was mildly disappointing is the length of the keyboard tray. I like to use my mouse and keyboard on the keyboard tray of a desk, and this unit doesn't allow room for a full-size keyboard AND a mouse. I do like that the tray is height adjustable, I just wish that it was wider. I may look into modifying this feature. In all, I'm very happy with this desk and it looks great and functions very well. It's a welcome upgrade from my old glass-top desk and it's modular and can be reconfigured to suit any space. I definitely recommend it, especially for the price you pay. ... show more
