I have A LOT of books and needed something that can hold some heavy books and so far it is working just fine. It looks great and it allowed me to get all of the stuff off of the floor. Assembly was easy enough and the supply a few extra screws which makes me feel good. My only comment is that the instructions were mostly pictures. I finished it and found that one of the metal parts was on backwards so I had to remove it and turn it around. Not a big deal but it would have been nice of they made it real obvious that was important and do it right. ... show more

I love this unit!! I wanted a bookshelf that had open sides (so my cats could easily cross it to get to the window) and this one exceeded expectations. The unit is sturdy and looks great. I added the led pucks after the fact, so the lights don't come with the bookshelf, but they are a great addition! It took me a while to put together by myself. This shelf looks great and was easy to assemble. I can get frustrated with putting certain pieces together, and when I saw the number of pieces in this box, I figured that was going to be the case. But, it was actually very easy to assemble and I was able to do it on my own. Look great put together.
