This is my second pair of these exact boots. I can not recall if my other pair was made in China or the Dominican Republic. I do not see any difference in quality. Both pair were made very well. The pair I’m reviewing now from Amazon the right foot vamp/instep is bordering on painful. I can not knock the boot because I’m not sure if it’s a slight thickness difference between my feet. I’m between a 10.5 and 11 US size sneaker. I went with 10.5 and I think that was the correct size. I used my cheap vamp/instep stretcher for a few night and the fit is perfect now. Otherwise the rest of the boot and leather got softer and broke in with a minimal effort. I have not worn this pair in the rain. My other pair kept my feet dry. Once broken in the insole is provides comfort for an entire 8 hour work day on my feet. My arrived a little lighter in color, no scuffs or marks. Stitching is good, no noticeable defect and they look great. The color darkened a shade or two after a few uses. I think this is probably related to the climate and storage. I think the natural moisture in the hair brought out a little more color. I recommend a light spray with a suede/nubuck water resistant spray. Make sure it’s suede and nubuck safe and doesn’t change the color. ... show more

I looked around the internet for months, and this is the boot I decided to purchase. It is of high quality and great styling. I do not like the square toe designs, and this was one of the few round toe designs available in a waterproof option. I wanted a Western style in waterproof, and no steel toe. The heel offers great stability, and the boots are very comfortable. I have worn Rockys in the military for years and always found them comfortable. Buying clothing or footwear on websites is uneasy, but these fit true to the size. If they have the same exact style in a darker color I would not hesitate to buy a second pair. I might just buy a second pair to keep nice, while I wear the other one for working around the house and outdoor activity. ... show more

I did the wardrobe try out the first pair I got my husband the wrong size but the boots were perfect though too bad I got the wrong size... got it sent back in time not charged... that’s a plus the second pair I got wasn’t so they were repacked not in the original box they were squished in transit and one of the boots had glue smothered on it but other than that the boot fit perfect I tried to get a discount but only option is to send them back for a replacement my husband needs them for Xmas so it will be risky sending them back and not getting his boots in time for Xmas we figured we’d keep them for the full price $170 since they are for work after we figured the glue stain isn’t such a big deal but overall not happy with the experience... ... show more

Nicely made and very comfortable for a boot of this style. I review the fit as somewhat large due to the fact that I, personally, take a 'full size smaller' in Rocky boots than I do in most other brands. Knowing that, I purchased the proper size for myself. I don't know why Rocky is having boots made in the Dominican Republic. For 200 dollar boots the workmanship is shoddy at best! The heels have a hard ridge protruding inside the boot causing irritation and one of the pull tabs is all deformed.

Very comfortable good looking boot. I've had three pairs of these and the only reason I gave it a four is because the soles do separate after a couple years. They'd be perfect if it weren't for that. The boots seem to be decent quality and fit as expected. Another couple of notes, the boots had obviously been returned as a label had been ripped off of the outside of the box, and the box was very damaged. The boots were in decent shape though, aside from the cockroach in one of them. I tried the boots on immediately after arrival and upon removing one of my feet was surprised to find bug guts and bits all over my sock. Not so ideal. ... show more
