  • Works great!
Style: Black
I installed these in our couples camper and they are perfect - easy to install. Small but have a big sound!

  • Not for audiophiles
Style: White
I paired these with a Pyle amp. I would suggest a small amp, the bigger ones are a waste of power with these speakers. These really hold the amp back, but for quiet/medium volume they do a great job for the money, especially if you don’t want “ugly” bookshelf speakers and don’t want go the wall/ceiling mount route. Turn them up past half and they will make you sad. For my personal use, I would consider them for a low-powered atmos setup, or rear channels only. These are NOT great speakers, I would go so far as to say they are not even very good speakers. But they are perfect for the friend I installed them for. They enjoy gentle background music without taking up counter space and the aesthetics suited them better than other speaker designs. 5 stars for my application 3 stars for the speaker in this price range. 1 star for sound quality if you would use them as primaries in a stereo or surround system. The hardware felt cheap, but worked very, very well. ... show more

  • Don't expect wonders!!!!
Style: White
Having moved to a new apartment, I was definitively instructed by the wife that there would be no "noisy big speakers" allowed for my surround sound set up. So I decided to go for "not so noisy small speakers" and spent time searching for satellite speakers that wouldn't break the bank and wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. These came out tops in terms of reviews and they look great, have a great quality of build and the brackets are easy to install and offer great flexibility when it comes to positioning each speaker to ensure that the soundfield is directed to the right part of the room. So far so good. The sound is acceptable - there is distortion if the volume is too loud but I expected this and made sure to adjust the rear surround volume on my amp - but even then, I do experience some tinny and distorted sound but it's not going to ruin your cinematic experience. I've only had them for 3 months and they're still being broken in but I would not recommend these for anything other than a surround sound set up or for very low amp power usage. ... show more

  • Good sound, easy to install and easy to attach speaker wire.
Style: White
They look good. They were easy to install and I like the speaker wire attachment, making it easy to attach the speaker wire first and then plug it into the speaker.

  • Look and sound great in the RV
Style: Black
We put them in a vintage motor home and they sound great. Their small size worked out very nicely since it's hard to find space to install things in the tight spaces of an RV. These were easy to install and look great, plus they sound excellent. Keep in mind that if you're wanting deep bass then you'll want to add a small subwoofer because these aren't made for that. If you're looking for something that sounds better than the TV speaker and easy to mount in multiple locations, then these are just the thing. The price was very low considering the sound. ... show more

  • It just doesn’t sound great
Style: White
Those are not my speakers. I returned them although I bought them at a discount. Pros - Nice look - Low price for a 2 way system - The safety cables give me piece of mind with my son playing below the speaker Cons: - I don’t like those quick-disconnect terminals. Introduces the need for a screw driver just to connect a speaker. - The tweeter doesn’t sound good and is way too loud compared to the mid-range speaker. It leads to an unbalanced sound profile - For me, the speakers are just too small. They cannot produce low enough bass. It’s 130Hz, which means you’d need to set this frequency as crossover at the subwoofer. And 130Hz is too high for a subwoofer. Doesn’t sound good combined - After I didn’t like them, I tested them side-by-side with an expensive speaker. You could argue that this is unfair but the test confirmed my initial feeling that the sound profile of the Rockville Cube is off across the entire spectrum ... show more

  • Sound is great for the price
Style: Black
These are not high end speakers but they sure sound good. Easy to hang on the wall and ceiling. Easy to adjust. Just the right size for us. We mostly use them for music and the music sounds good. Very happy.

  • great for my setup as surrounds in a 5.1 with martin logan center and fronts
Style: White
I bought these to complete a 5.1 setup in my living room. I simply wanted to have SOMETHING for surrounds. Sound quality is not my top priority. Spousal acceptance and low-profile in a white room was equally as important to me as how they would perform. It is surprisingly hard to find small white satellite speakers. I looked at a few others here on amazon such as some JBL ones, polk and another brand I had never heard of. Bose also sells their cubes but for $400 is way more than what I wanted to spend for my application/setup. Background about my setup: 1. fronts are martinlogan motion 20 2. center is martinlogan EM-C2 3. receiver is a pioneer vsx-1130-k 4. sub is small/compact no name 5. my room is 15'w x 20'd x 11'h w/ tv in middle of the 20' wall Pros: 1. easy to install. came with everything needed and easy to follow instructions. 2. sound OK - these won't win any awards but for purely directional queues/surround they work great 3. white so they blend right into my walls 4. good price at $65-70 Cons 1. slightly larger than I really wanted. Bose makes the most compact I am aware of and I would have preferred something around that size but again, not worth 4-5x the price of what these cost. 2. strange clip system for attaching speaker wire 3. cannot remove the grill protecting the woofers 4. something unique to my situation, but I put them as close to a 90 degree corner as possible. After doing so, it is fairly difficult to tighten the pivot mount to lock the speaker into place. Just know that if you put these right up into a corner it is hard but can be done. Overall, satisfied with these. They sound FINE which is exactly what I needed them for. Do use these as surrounds. Do not use these as fronts/mains unless you want to miss out on a lot of detail from the 200 hz and below range. ... show more
