  • Quality Tint at a Quality Price!
Size: 20 IN x 25 FT Color: 5 Percent
I bought this tint after purchasing a new truck and not wanting to spend almost $400 to have it done. I have done a few of my other vehicles in the past, but that has been years ago. I wanted to go with a ceramic and this product seemed to have good reviews. Upon receiving the product, it was well packages and there was absolutely no damage to the tint. The tint itself felt very high-quality and not flimsy like the stuff you'd buy at the parts store. It cut and applied easily, and was also easy to position with my dawn and water slip solution. After installation, I allowed it to dry a few days before rolling the windows down to promote the best adhesion. There are still a few bubbles present here and there, but I am sure that is is my own fault. This tint looks great and provides great privacy being 5%. I got the 25' roll and still have some leftover after tinting all 4 side windows (crew cab) as well as the back glass. And that is even with messing up a couple times! ... show more

  • So far so good (after I made a bunch of initial mistakes).
Size: 20 IN x 100 FT Color: 50 Percent
I am glad I bought a 100 ft roll, as I never DIY tinted before and despite watching a bunch of videos, I kept making mistakes the first few times (bad cuts, crinkled film, forgot to heat shrink, forgot to put enough slip under the edges, etc). But with a little bit of practice, I've got my rear door windows all done and it looks good so far. I had some problems with the adhesive not tacking enough during installation and sliding while raising the window, but I think that may be more of a technique issue for a beginner like me. The first window that I thought was "good enough", I later decided after two hours that I wanted to do it again. By then, the adhesive had started to set and the film clung fairly well to the glass. I feel confident that once fully dried/cured, the tint will stay put. The film does shrink similarly to how I see installers do it in YT. I think this is another area where technique matters. One guy on YT showed that if you use a wet technique while shrinking, you may need to lift and deliberate bunch the film a tiny bit to get the fingers to come up more before shrinking them down. Getting the liner to release was also a little tricky until I got my technique down. Firmly squeegee and tack the top edge of the film on the window and you'll be able to get the release liner to come off from the tint film. My recommendation to anyone who has never done tinting before -- buy extra. I made so many mistakes on my first attempts that by the time I'm done, I will probably have gone through 50 or 60 feet to do my car that a perfect installation do in 15 feet or 20 feet. With the remaining 40 feet (plus another ~10 feet of sheets cut too short), I plan to tint a second car. BTW, if consistency is important to you, it's generally better to buy an excess of material from within a single batch than hope that a later order that might come from a separate batch will match. (Same problem with food, 3D printing filament, crayons, etc.) No idea how long this film will last. My last car was professionally tinted and that tint lasted 20 years. If this lasts for 7 years or more, I will be quite happy. p.s. I noticed a few reviews saying that the glass is hot to the touch after installing. That is expected -- the film absorbs the energy that otherwise would pass through the window and heat up the inside of the vehicle. The only way to reduce light transmission without absorbing it is to reflect it, but this is not a reflecting tint. ... show more

  • Thin
Size: 24 IN x 100 FT Color: 35 Percent
Used almost the whole 100 ft over the weekend. The film feels thin, definitely more like a 1-ply, so it creases easy. Tucking and trimming harder windows can ruin a piece, and two-stage installs are rough because of how easily it creases. I ended up pulling door panels and bottom-loading everything. Shrinkability is decent, but it hits a limit with bigger shrinks. Because it creases so easily, you have to be careful when shrinking and laying it down. Even being careful, I had to trash a couple of back windows. Color looks good. I’ll see how it holds up over time. ... show more

  • Really good, not great but really good
Size: 24 IN x 15 FT Color: 35 Percent
It’s good tint, doesn’t quite look how I thought it would with almost a weird smoky color that my other windows don’t have but fairly easy to apply and for the price vs. paying for a professional job I’ll use it every time!

  • Product is worth it but you must be an expert
Size: 36 IN x 25 FT Color: 20 Percent
Unless you are a tint guy... I do not recommend. We bought the kits and did all the things. Only for it to wrinkle itself and then essentially be taken down. Twice. Its not an easy task. It DID however blocknout some of the light as it should. Patience is needed for larger windows as well as a few sets of hands. ... show more
