Description

This film will reject up to 99% of ultra-violet light which is harmful to your eyes and your skin. Visible light transmission is the measurement used to assess automotive window tints. This film will reject up to 35% of infrared rays which helps reduce overall cabin heat. Reduces risk of scratches and breakage. Clean glass thoroughly as possible. Cut the tint to the shape of and larger size of the window. Spray solution to adhesive side and all over onto the window. Place your tint onto the interior of the window with the adhesive side and window wet. Remove any bubbles that are between window and tint and trim the edge of the film to the exact size.     • Attempt at your own risk. Not a simple project!

The film seems to be ok once installed. There is a reason people pay installers to put on window tint, so the 3 stars is not completely due to film quality but rather the experience of a novice installer. One common thread for all the window tint is that the clear liner is nearly impossible to remove. I ruined 2 cut pieces simply due to the film. I tried using tape which finally worked after much struggle, only to have the inside of the window to dry out and had to stop and respray. What i didn't factor in was that the soap/water that had dried left a streaky film on the glass. I installed on the window only to then realize the streaks. I now have to remove the piece I finally got installed only to do it again. I now have to buy another 25' roll just to get ONE window done. Hopefully i will be able to get it done with the next roll. Once you finally get the clear film started, pulling it off becomes a real challenge. I ruined the first piece when the tint creased from attempting to pull off the film. The second piece that I struggled with, i finally got the film pulled down without creasing and when removing to transfer to the inside, the tint folded back onto itself and stuck together. All I'm saying is that with enough patience and film, you should be able to get it eventually. Don't cheap out and think you will be successful with just enough film. I highly recommend taking the vehicle to a professional tinter! This is not a simple DIY project. You have e been warned! ... show more

Honest opinion: I want to start by saying the tint is great. Cuts easy (you still need to spray it with your soapy water) and shrinks great (does not burn with a heat gun very quickly)this makes installing easier than other brands that I have worked with. With this being carbon it gives fantastic heat rejection and makes driving comfortable. Background: This is the second time I bought this tint, the first time was a year ago now. I had to retint a few windows because of kids and it was my first time tinting and I screwed it up the first time. Issues: Now for the only issue. I bought the exact same tint in the exact same shade. From the photo you can see the difference in color. Now this could be from the first one fading over time but the new 5% is darker than the old 5%. Other points of note: The film removes from the tint easiest with packing tape. This tint gives you a nice thickness and durability without causing issues for windows to roll down. Yes it is darker on the outside than the inside but it is still dark on the inside. Helping you choose the shade: The larger and more windows on your vehicle the darker the tint will need to be to make the vehicle feel dark enough. 20% on a single cab truck will feel darker than 20% on a minivan. Remember you need to drive at night... Limo tint(5%) is dark and you cannot see things easily at night like... Street signs. If I can have the company reach out and let me know if the fade is normal or if I just got a bum batch. Thank you. ... show more
