I bought these for Vegas so I knew I would have lots of walking ahead of me. I wanted a low heal that would still be cute and comfort was my number one priority! First I wore them thru the airport, no issues, comfy, easy on and off. Then I tried them out on the strip and we ended up walking 8 miles that day and no issues! No blisters, no weird rub marks just a great comfy bootie. What I didn't think about was how I wore leggings with them initially, day 2 I wore skinny jeans that when rolled up fell just above the top of the bootie and very quickly I noticed an uncomfortable rubbing across the front of my ankle, ya that was annoying and started to leave a mark so I was able to unroll & tuck my jeans more into the bootie. No issue then. Maybe this is only an issue for me that's why I still gave it 5 stars. I will continue to wear these for other occasions, I absolutely love them and whatever is causing the rubbing maybe it'll go away in future. For me not a big deal, I don't have to have exposed leg with them.

I really wanted to love these boots. I'm a 9.5 and they fit true to size. They are made from very nice, quality leather and are very stylish. I love everthing about these boots until I put them on. They were very comfortable but the top of the boot really cuts into the front of my left ankle. The right boot is fine, no problems. So I thought maybe they just need broke in a bit. I wore them around the house for about 10 minutes and the left boot continued to do its nasty little digging into my leg. Sadly, they are boxed up and ready to go back.

This is a beautifully styled boot. Very attractive. The leather is quite soft. There are zippers on both sides: inside and outside of the boot. Only the inside zipper is functional (Why do both?) I removed the tissue "stuffing" - Left foot went in easily. The Right foot was downright painful and my foot began to cramp (I didn't even get it inside all the way). Upon further investigation, there was a black-tissue wrapped "form" tightly fitted into the top side of the boot to the toe. Surprise! (There wasn't this on the left boot which would conclude that this pair was a return) No problem, after I extracted the tissue and the form, my foot slid in like the left boot. I ordered a WIDE because later in the day, my feet swell and I must wear socks. I tested these late afternoon on a hot afternoon and even with my thick Thorlo socks, the WIDE still had space (another surprise). Which means that I would need the B/Medium width. However, I will return these because even though the leather is soft, the fit in front of my ankle was not comfortable and I feel, even with a B/Medium width, I would "feel" this even more. I will add, that at this high price, there were already marks on the leather and clearly -- this is a "sensitive" leather that will show wear too soon for me. Beautiful Boot, but sadly - won't work for me.

These Rockport black boots are of a great quality leather and very stylish. I read the reviews and purchased them in a size 8 wide which fit my foot (even though I have a bunion) very nicely. Unfortunately, I also have a hammer toe on that same foot which elevates one of my toes and these boots just couldn't accommodate my raised toe. I'm disappointed because I love the boots and thought that the price was fabulous for a boot of this quality. Sadly, I will be returning them.
