i bought this desk for nursing school. since covid, all of the nursing students can’t stay on campus so i wanted a nice desk i could really work on. i absolutely love it. very simple and easy to assemble. did it by myself. I really like how spacious this desk is. one of my favorite parts about this desk is the top shelf because it allows you to decorate more. i love the room i have to stack my books. another feature i love is the drawer and storage area for extra books and notebooks. i wouldn’t recommend putting too much weight on it however it seems pretty sturdy. great first desk! very good for price ... show more

As a college student living at home, I have a hard time trying to find a work space. This desk has been perfect this semester so far! I have a nice amount of storage in the drawer and on the shelves for school supplies. I have plenty of room for my little plants. It also has more than enough desktop space for my laptop, a textbook, and a notebook! I understand why it would recommend 2 people to assemble it because it is pretty heavy, but I assembled this all by myself in about 2 hours. Which is really something considering I am a pretty small person. The only thing that I did not include while assembling this desk is the keyboard tray. I did not need it since I have a laptop. But a small warning to whoever does include the keyboard tray, it will not allow as much leg room. This desk is a perfect sized workspace for me and allows a comfortable amount of leg room since I did not install the keyboard tray. I don't have any experience building furniture so I was really worried about assembly with this desk, reviews seemed really 50/50. It was actually very simple and I had a good time doing it. Its recommended for 2 people since you have to hold multiple pieces up at once but if you have something to lean it on its very possible to do it alone. It took me about 5hrs to complete but I took my time so it can probably be done in 2-3 like some reviews say. Its a good size, especially if you don't have a lot of space to spare. The only thing that wasn't great was the wood quality. It was easy to accidentally make little chips while screwing, luckily these aren't visible. ... show more

I bought this so my almost 11 year old can do her virtual school lessons from her room. I have put together countless number of furniture pieces, so I have plenty of experience to compare this to. The instructions are very clear, although the order of steps is a little strange (why assemble the drawer so early??). However, there are several steps that would greatly benefit from having two people so that one can hold the pieces up and together, while the other screws things on. The second person can easily be a kid that can follow instruction, it's just balancing of things that gets tricky. All the pieces fit together very easily, which was a nice surprise. Be aware that it will take some time to put it together, it took me about an hour or so, just because there are a lot of steps. My daughter loves it, and I love the fact that it's not too big to fit into her room, and not too expensive to freak out my wallet. ... show more

It took me a long time to set up because I’m not a builder. It is DEFINITELY a two person job and I would not recommend doing it alone. Overall I’m okay. The drawer doesn’t close all the way idk if it’s a me thing or the desk however the work is very strong.
