I'm a a real woman and I'm gonna give you a real review. I am am middle aged, middle class, mid American busy wife and mom and I don't have time or money to waste on inferior products. I ordered the Rockland Melbourne Hardside Expandable luggage set of 3 in Turquoise. The product arrived today with in just 2 days of placing my order. It came in a huge box which was kind of beat up so I was a bit worried. Upon opening it the large suite case was wrapped in a plastic bag taped shut and the other two pieces were nested inside of each other and also wrapped in plastic bags. All 3 pieces had sales tags attached. I opened each piece and checked thoroughly for any damage. It all looks great. No scratches, no dents, no tears, all zippers worked great and the interior lining was all attached well. I checked that all the wheels were attached well and that they all moved freely. There is a very slight smell , like one of those inflatable pool toys, but very faint. The color is true to the picture, a very bright Turquoise Blue. I have not used the luggage yet so it still remains to be seen how well it will hold up during travel but for this price this is a steal of a deal so far.

Overall, it's a fine set of luggage. I recently needed new luggage last minute for an international trip. The price for this set was great and I love the color (super easy to spot my luggage at baggage claim!). The wheels made getting around the airport super easy. The hard case wasn't heavy and kept my items well protected (nothing broke!) My only issue was that after one trip, the handle on the large luggage broke and another piece on it broke off. So maybe a good set of luggage for once or twice (which seems pretty wasteful). However, if you need something affordable for a long trip, this did the trick.

Beautiful color. Not very good for rough handling in airport. My carry on case had to be placed under plane. First time use and a wheel almost broke off with being handled rough making it hard to roll. Liner is not as study as I would have hoped. The two large cases made it through the plane trip. Don’t think it will last thru many trips. Would be good for car trips.

We needed a new set of luggage that was functional and moved through the airport smoothly. Came across this set and fell in love with the look, colors and price! We used it the first time on a cruise that included airline flights with connections so lots of baggage handling. We had read the reviews and seen the pics where people had shown mishaps and damage to their luggage. I was unsure if it would hold up to the abuse of baggage handlers. We decided to give it a try and ordered "used" to lower the price point. When it arrived we couldn't find ANYTHING wrong with them. The box was beat up but hey I'll take a discount any day for that! The luggage performed wonderfully!

Spent a month travelling around SE Asia. Travelled the equivalent of 9 one-way trips. The luggage survived some very challenging airports. Was able to pack the luggage to bursting, and close, with no issues. Also, no issues with maneuverablity. The large wheels handled pavement, grass, dirt, etc. The bright orange color was unique enough that I was able to spot tham quickly. Did notice one of the bags has a loose thread from the zipper area. Hoping its just a random stringer. Also some slight scuffing. No other noticeable wear issues. Overall very happy with these. Very light, but not "cheap". Looking forward to more travelling.

I used the 28” bag recently on a round trip and it held up well. Quality is ok and everything is functional. All wheels on all bags roll well and is easy to maneuver during transport. For a three bag set at $130, this is hard to beat.

I love this luggage set. It is super lightweight, easy to move, and has thus-far survived being completely stuffed for international travel. The only downside (and a big one) is it smelled SO strongly of plastic when it arrived that we had to air it out outside for a few days, wash the inside and outside with hot water and dish soap, and air it out some more before the smell was diminished enough to tolerate. Even then, we had to set it near the open hotel window at night so it wouldn’t make the room smell toxic. I have had this set for more than 6 months and it still has a faint plastic smell (seems to continue to fade over time). Other than that, great set for an affordable price.
