I bought this because I was flying from Ohio to the Alaska peninsula for work, would be in Alaska for 40-45 days, and I didn’t want to check any luggage. I flew on Delta, and Alaska Airlines. This carry-on was large enough to hold: 13 pair of underwear, 13 pair of socks, 6 bras, 6 pair of blue jeans, 4 tee shirts, 3 long sleeve shirts, a pair of sneakers, a hooded zip up fleece safety jacket, and odds and ends of things I could stuff in the cracks. Seems unbelivable, but as my sister remarked, I’m a packing ninja. Once I boarded the plane I was able to fit it into the overhead bin without problem, perfectly. As a warning for those considering expanding it for that extra room: DON’T! Unless you want to go through and take stuff out when it won’t fit. This carry-on fit through the bin opening with no extra room to spare. I had a layover in Chicago, and walked to a different terminal, which seemed like a million miles away. The wheels worked perfectly, the handle was sturdy, and when I stopped to wait at my gate I was able to set my back pack on top of it without any trouble. The outer shell is rugged, the zippers performed as would expect a zipper to perform. While I didn’t expand the sides for additional room, I played with it to see if it worked right, and it did. While I’m not excessively rough with my belongings, I expect a product to stand up to everyday wear and tear, and I don’t baby things. This carry-on did not disappoint. During the trip and afterwards, it has been banged around, dropped repeatedly while full and empty, slid on its front across a concrete parking lot, and yes it shows some wear but not as much as you would expect after heavy use. As a reminder, don’t mess with the included lock until you have read the directions on how to operate it. All in all, this carry-on exceeded my expectations.

I know that this item has 600 plus reviews, so there may be little to know chance of me being viewed when a customer comes to a buying decision for this item. But in the slim chance that an eager customer comes across this review, please read the three points below:.. 1. This luggage is priced so low for a reason. (Mine broke within 5 uses, see images) 2. The "WARRANTY" policy is a complete joke (see image below for all of the hoops you have to jump through to return a garbage just to get another garbage bag) 3. Customer service department is hard to get a hold of and then is a completely rude excuse for a Customer Service department. Just an FYI, you are going to want to search for "Fox Luggage" on Google. They hide behind the Rockland brand because it is terrible luggage. Don't be like me, penny wise and pound foolish. I made the mistake you can avoid. Spend a little more money and go with a REAL company. Anyone who travels regularly frequently will rip through this luggage in a matter of a few trips. Amazon's Return Period will be over (30 days) and you will be left with a trashed bag, an asinine return policy designed to de-incentivize you from returning the luggage, a crappy customer service department, and out $125.00 bucks, wishing you spent a little bit more for something worth a damn. Don't buy this garbage luggage set. It is JUNK. All three of the pieces cracked and broke and fell apart after only two trips. So supposedly it has a warranty and I tracked it down though the Fox Luggage website (hard to find but it is Fox that makes Rockland pieces) and the only way Customer Service can be reached is through email. After five emails and no response, I found the phone number and called them and insisted on talking to someone is Customer Service. They wouldn't let me but promised I would get a response via email which I eventually did...but it didn't answer my specific question which was do I have to pay $40 per suitcase for handling? That would cost me $120 for all three plus shipping (another $40ish) and since I only paid $139 for all three...obviously this is a BAD DEAL. It turns out that yes, you have to pay $40 per damaged suitcase to take advantage of the warranty. DO NOT BUY THESE SUITCASES or anything made by FOX LUGGAGE OR ROCKLAND LUGGAGE. Learn from my mistake. A bad review is my only option at this point. Hope it helps someone.

Wow! This suitcase is amazing and has been cleared for all flights I have been on. In the last six weeks I have flown delta, united, jet blue, southwest, and American and I have been able to use this as a carry on. The suitcase holds about 7-10 days worth of clothes, two pairs of shoes (sneakers and heels) and two comestic bags (one for toiletries and one for make-up)! Worth the buy!!
