  • Yes! No more ground loop!
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
OK, to be clear, this may not fix your ground loop problem, but it solved mine. Here's the scenario. I bought a sub and connected it speaker cable out of the amp to speaker cable in on the sub since my old school (but high quality) home stereo doesn't have a sub woofer out. The sub hummed, and tried everything I could find on the internet to fix it. Since my sub had RCA in, I wanted to eliminate the possibility that the sub had a bad speaker in connection so bought this to try. Problem solved. If you've been down this path, you know that sub hum can be infuriating to try to solve. After trying everything else, I can only conclude that the sub speaker in wiring is not isolated in the same way as the RCA in. Otherwise, why would a wire connection from my amp plugged to one have an issue, but no issue with the other; the source is the same. I would send the sub back, but this actually the second one they've sent me. The other one had a related issue and was defective; but I love the sound so if I have to have this device in the connection loop so be it. Sub works great now. Turns on at low volume and has no hum. ... show more

  • Works great in my F150!
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I have a '16 Ford F150 w/ the Sport pkg and Sony stereo. I wanted to add a bit more bass but didn't want to give up the factory 8" sub and amp. I found online another user had spliced into the wiring coming out of the factory Sony amp between the Sub. I did that same setup and it worked great. I tied the White solid (+) and Gray solid (+) together, going into the factory White sub wire (+). Same thing with the White/black and Gray/black (-) and tied into the White/blue sub wiring. The two Brown wires (ground) only have to be used if there is interference in the signal. I just taped them to the Line Out Converter box. You should probably only tied them together if your running mono mode (single amp) like I am, instead of in stereo mode. ... show more

  • Simple and Clean Conversion
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This is the second time I’ve used this product - once for my car and now for a relatives car. Easy to connect and the sound quality really comes through. No hum/buzz at all plus it comes with an optional ground if there happens to be engine feedback going into the amp. I’m very happy and this makes adding a sub/amp so easy. ... show more

  • Perfect for what I needed....
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I purchased this LOC for my home theater to aid in making my rear speakers wireless. The wireless transmitter and receiver I purchased uses RCA jacks, so I connected this LOC to my surround speaker connections on my AV Receiver via banana plugs. A stereo RCA cable runs from the LOC to the wireless transmitter, which sends the signal to the receiver across the room which is connected to a small amplifier via another stereo RCA cable which in turn is connected via speaker wire to my surround bookshelf speakers. There was a small hum resulting from the wireless connection, but this was addressed by grounding the LOC to the AV receiver's ground screw. Great product. Does exactly what it's advertised to do. ... show more

  • Good for ham radio transceiver speaker output to line level
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Used to convert an 8 ohm speaker output of a ham radio transceiver into line level for connecting to my computer's microphone input, by adding bare wire to RCA adapters on the wire ends of this unit. Did its job well. RCA outputs are not labeled, I assumed the one on the left was the left channel and that worked. Audio quality is indistinguishable from the source, although ham radio is not high quality anyways. But I found I could have done the same thing with a couple of resistors so the price is a little high for what it is. ... show more
