I absolutely LOVE this notebook! The design is great and it's super easy to write in. It cleans up well with a damp cloth and is super lightweight and durable. It has plenty of pages and the fact it's reusable was a huge selling point. I bought both the regular notebook and the planner. They are extremely easy to upload documents via multiple apps. I use mine daily and it's held up well. With the amount I've used it so far, I've saved money already on traditional notebooks. It's an excellent value to for what it costs. If you're unsure about purchasing, take it from me...it's worth every penny! ... show more

  • Great with modifications
Number of Items: 1 Color: Gray Size: Executive
The great: The pages are great and do exactly as advertised. Ink dries quickly on the page and is easily wiped off with a wet paper towel and then dried to reuse again and again. The pages are durable, the ink leaves no residue, and in literally seconds are perfectly clean and ready to reuse. The Rocket pages include monthly and weekly calendar pages as well as Task pages like you would find in a standard planner. I personally prefer the weekly pages and LOVE that I can simply wipe off last week's schedule and write in a new week without throwing pages away every week. The Rocket pages also include blank pages to use as desired. I used a Sharpie pen to write headers onto some pages that I reuse daily/weekly for the same purpose. For example, I wrote "Grocery List" at the top of one page. The header (since written in Sharpie) doesn't wipe off while the list itself, is written in the FriXion ink is easily wiped off each week after I finish grocery shopping to start over again for the next week. I also created menu templates on a couple of pages with Sharpie pen and then write in the menu for the week when preparing for grocery shopping. The menu is easily wiped off and ready to go again for the next week, but the template itself (written in Sharpie) remains. The personal preference: I didn't like the pen that came with the Rocket planner so I purchased a different style of pen. Any FriXion pen will work including the many varied colors available. The not great: The front and back covers are not durable and easily crack, scratch, and fall apart. I am not hard on stuff and mine fell apart in about 6 weeks. Other reviews mentioned this issue. In addition, the spiral binding was a poor design choice on the part of the company. I modified mine as follows and it's FABULOUS. I cut the end of the spiral binding, unwound the spiral, and threw away both it and the front and back covers. Then I ordered a standard A5 6-ring planner and cut the holes in the spiral binding of the Rocket pages to line up with the 6 rings in the planner. The pages are about the right size top to bottom, but a bit wider than a standard A5 size so tab dividers with the tabs on the side don't work because the wider width of the Rocket pages covers them up. So I ordered tab dividers with the tabs at the top which worked great. Another option would be to cut the spiral binding off the pages altogether and re-punch holes in the pages to align with the standard 6-ring A5 size. This would make the pages the correct width to work with tab dividers on the side. With these modifications of ditching the included binding and cover in favor of the standard A5 planner cover, it's truly fabulous! My recommendation to potential purchasers: If you are willing to make the necessary modifications, this is truly outstanding. I've been using mine literally daily for over 6 months and I can't say enough about it. I took off one star because of the need to modify it, but once modified as described, it's a 10-star item. My recommendation to the company: Change the page size and hole alignment to match a standard A5 planner, ditch the cover and binding altogether, and simply sell the pages as reusable refill pages for an A5 planner book. I'd have happily paid the same price for just the pages made to fit an A5 planner and would have given it an enthusiastic 5 stars. ... show more

  • Versatile & Easy to use
Number of Items: 1 Color: Green Size: Executive
I've been using my Rocketbook since 1/1/2021 and I'm loving it. I was burdened by all the filled notebooks that I had and needed to keep, just in case I needed to refer back to my work notes. It's hard to find something you know might be in there without knowing when it might be. Enter Rocketbook. I can OCR my notes (with some corrections) and if I need something Windows can find it. I tested this feature out after accumulating a couple of weeks notes (saving each day as a separate file) and then asked Windows to find a particular phrase. It worked beautifully and finding multiple instances of that phrase--one I didn't even remember writing down. Ideally I would scan and OCR my notes daily, but in reality I do it about once a week. This means I have to set aside a little more time to correct the OCR translation of my not so great handwriting, but well worth it in the end. Though I bought a variety of Frixion pens, the ones I use every day are the ball clickers (.7mm). They write fairly well and scan easily--even the pink pen comes up well in the scans. I haven't used the markers as much for everyday notes--too thick. It's recommended that you use a spray bottle & a micro cloth for cleaning. I do that, but for everyday mistakes that's a little hard. It is NOT recommended to use the erasers that come on the pens--they not only smear, but the can remove the coating from your Rocketbook pages. I've found that using a water pen & a Q-tip works great for correction in little areas. The pen I use is: Pentel Japan Aquash Waterbrush Water Brush Pen, Fine. It gets into small areas with precision; I then use both sides of a Q-tip--one for absorption of the water & ink, and the other to dry. This allows me to make quick corrections and continue on without "waiting for the page to dry." When I do my mass cleanings (about every 2 weeks), I use a soft wet rag and a dry micro cloth. I wholesale wash down the pages and dry them. This process is a little slow as the drying does take time. I've tried it with the pages bound and unbound and have only seen a little improvement on the drying time of the unbound pages. One note I have is that right after I've cleaned the pages and they are dry there appears to be light impressions from the pen that are still there after cleaning, but after a couple of days those impressions disappear. My first (two) Rocketbooks were of the Fusion variety, as I didn't really know what I wanted. I like some of the planner pages and the lined pages, but only used the dotted pages when I ran out of lined pages. I have created some two page calendar pages using the dotted pages, but for me they weren't as useful. When I originally got the Fusion book it was the only one with lined pages; at that time the Core only came with dotted pages, but now they have a version that is all lines. I've added one of those to my inventory. If I had to go back and could do the purchases again, I'd probably still get the Fusion for the versatility, but my other book would be a Core lined. At the bottom of every page are 7 icons. You can program them to be locations to where you want your scanned pages to go and what actions you want taken. For instance, I have two set up for personal notes/scans--one for email & one to go to my G-drive--both with OCR. I also have two set up for work notes/scans, but in this case they are going to my work email and my work based OneDrive--again both with OCR. If you were in school and part of a study group, you could make one of the icons go to a group email or to a group accessible cloud storage. The versatility here is endless. All in all I'd recommend the Rocketbook. At $35 for 42 pages it might seem high, but think about some of the other alternatives and their expense. I tried several more expensive options, and none of the others worked like I do or made it as easy to see and retrieve my notes. ... show more
