Updated 8-22-17 These sandals are downright dangerous on hardwood floors. BEWARE! I can slide across the floor just like Tom Cruise in Risky Business. The slippery 'fabric' on the bottom of the soles peeled off in less than a week, but I figured the real sole's surface would be a little stickier. NOT!! I slipped and fell twice; once on the stairs and another time getting off a dining chair. These sandals are now relegated to outside-around-the-yard, as it is harder to slip on concrete, grass and dirt. Sad I might as well have purchased [much cheaper] alternatives at the dollar store. 6-6-17 Some reviewers complained of peeling on the sole. Only time will tell. Meanwhile, these are very comfortable, and they seem to be soft enough to take on the contours of my feet and still provide some arch support. ... show more

I owned a pair of these Rocket Dog Flip Flops many years ago and LOVED them but this generation has a serious design flaw. The bottom of shoes have a light fur coat - yes, you read this correctly, FUR. As you can imagine, I was constantly slipping on tile and wood floor. The shoes are great when I am outside, but other than that they are very slippery. Like, why!? Why would anything other than rubber be on the bottom of the shoes?? If you look at the pictures that I included, I have circled the fur or fuzz, in red. If you look at the picture of the entire bottom of the shoe, you can see a drastic color difference - the dark black is the furry bottom and the lighter gray is a much lighter fur but still equally as slippery. I just don't get it. (and for anyone questioning me on my word choice of "fur", sorry, I don't know any other way to explain it) Side note, these are super comfortable, just VERY slippery inside on solid floors. ... show more

This is probably my 3rd or 4th pair of Rocket Dog's. I like them because I work in a dry cleaners and need something cool and comfy to stand on my feet all day. They usually will hold up for a summer, sometimes two. So I was pretty surprised when I saw some weird string hanging from the bottom of my shoe. First I thought I'd walked on something I shouldn't have but when I reached down to pull it off I was surprised to see it was still attached to the bottom of my shoe. I was going to let it go but after another week I still have layers of the sole coming off. I've never had this happen. I'm wearing them the same as always. It gets worse when I walk on asphalt or the sidewalk but plain old concrete floors cause it too. The sole is thick so hasn't affected comfort and flip flops are slick by nature when wet so I already watch my step on wet floors, but what the heck?! Not bad enough to consider returning now that I've worn them a few weeks but will definitely cause me pause when buying next year's basic black flip flop. First, I would like to say that these are REALLY comfortable. Great for wide feet. I wear a 6 1/2 W and a 6 fit perfectly. I would also like to make a comment about other reviewers and their claims of the bottom of the shoe peeling off. They are correct! HOWEVER, what comes off is a "slip resistant webbing" (best way to describe it) that I have found on MANY flip flops by different brands that I have owned and always comes off after a few wears. It DOES NOT effect the ability to wear the flip flop OR the longevity of the flip flop. If anything I've discovered once this "webbing" peels off, the flip flop actually becomes less slippery on certain surfaces. Love these and will purchase again! ... show more

I have worn Rocket Dog Flip Flops for about 12 years. I have never had a pair do what is happening to these. First let me say that the fit is great, they are really comfortable, nice and cushy on my feet like my older ones are....but....the bottoms of these are shredding. They are falling apart. They are also very slippery on my ceramic tile floors. These were delivered to my door on June 23, 2016, only 3 weeks ago. There is black fiber everywhere I walk in my house from these flip flops. I am very disappointed in these flip flops. I feel weird leaving a poor review but what a mess these are creating. I would post a picture of the soles but don't see a way to do this from my Kindle Fire. ... show more

The first pair of these flip flops I loved! I wore them so much they wore out. I bought a replacement pair and they have not met my expectations. The foot bed is a bit concave, which made them comfortable in the first pair. The bed of the second pair was off center and my foot fits a bit diagonal off the heel, which is uncomfortable. I've had the second pair for about two months and the footbed is already thin and I can feel rocks through the rubber. Very disappointed with the second pair. I have about 3 other pairs of Rocket Dog flip flops and all others are great. ... show more

These are some of the most comfortable flip flops I’ve ever owned! The bottoms eventually adapt and mold to your foot and it makes them even better. Quality materials for the most part. My only complaint is that the weaving on one of the straps is coming apart. Which is obviously upsetting. It’s still not enough to convince me not to purchase them again in the future though. I love these and currently live in them on a daily basis! ... show more

These are just like the old Rocket Dog flip flops I used to wear in high school. They fit perfectly and are extremely comfortable to wear for hours on end while walking (flea markets!) These have become my go-to flip flop for running around outside with my son, also. They aren't flimsy like cheaper rubber shoes and won't break and trip you. (I'm a Klutz!)
