I bought this for early morning cycling in the Idaho winters when the temperatures drop down to 20F/-6C. I was not disappointed. It keeps my head, face and neck warm, and tucks into the top of my jersey so there are no air gaps. It keeps the wind out. It fits well under my helmet. If you wear sunglasses though they have to go outside the balaclava. It's just a bit too snug to fit them inside, and that leaves a cold air gap. But it's not a problem if you have sports sunglasses with grippy arms. I've been comfortable for 3hr rides in 18-30F temps. This was a great find.

This gaiter was purchased specifically for football games in extreme cold temperatures and it worked very well despite being thin. It’s not heavy and it’s easy to breathe. It doesn’t get wet inside like fleece does. It worked in 6 degrees wind chill weather. That speaks a lot. Washes well too.

I used it in 40 degree weather to mow the lawn. I had started with just at hat on but the zooming around the yard on the lawnmower was causing chilly air to blow onto my face, my eyes started watering profusely due to cold, my nose started running and I couldn’t see where I was driving. I stopped mowing, yanked this sucker over my head and was able to spend 2 hours mowing the yard in chilly weather. It does cause glasses to fog up a bit, but whatever. I do like that it’s long enough that it covers both the front and back of the neck and keeps them warm as well. It wasn’t difficult to breathe in, and I didn’t get hot or stuffy in it. It was extremely comfortable and I definitely recommend. I’m a small woman, and it’s slightly too big on bottom and not as big as I’d like on top. I’d like it to cover more of the top, going lower down on my forehead, but when I tried to mess with it to do that the mouth flap would come up over my eyes. 🤷🏻♀️ Not perfect, but 100% usable and comfortable. I think people with normal sized heads/faces won’t have any issues. It kept me warm and that’s all I really care about.

I got this to wear when riding my side by side in the winter. I like the fact the layer over the nose is made to move up or down. I also like the flap thar extends out around d the neck area to prevent cold air from blowing up it.

I have done a lot of snowmobiling and this mask really stays up on your face and is tick enough to cover at keep me warm at -20. I now have two for each kid to ensure we have enough. Great price and very durable. Love the color options to ensure kids keep using the same one as each kid is designated a color.
