These skates are nice looking and the price was low. They are a bit bulky and stiff and do not come sharpened. They will definitely take some breaking in. Having loops to lace them with rather than actual metal eyelets makes lacing them tightly enough difficult. I hope they'll soften up and break down a little with time. Great value. I had these sharpened and took them out the other day. Im not an expert but they seemed to work exactly as I would expect. For an expert they may be a bit stiff but foe the price they did what I needed.

I am typically between a size 8 and 8.5 in shoes. I ordered the size 8 skate and it is way too big. If a 7.5 option were available, I would have exchanged. Instead, since I am just using the skate for recreational skating with my kids, I decided to keep and layer with extra socks. It works fine for that purpose. ... show more
